Oh...i went down JM last night as well. Didnt know there is a meet up.. else i would have join u fellas. Went to my unit to see the progress of the screeding.. can only see sand & cement...for 2-3 weeks liao. have not even started

My colleague juz went over msia to purchase furniture for his new house. Total damage is SGD10k, inclusive of beds, dining table, wardrobe/cabinets, TV console, sofa, coffee table, study table (most of it using solid wood)... inclusive of delivery. If do not worry abt lost in "transition", then it shd be a good deal. Anyway, think he only pay deposit & will only pay full when actual goods is delivered. Anyone interested?

Think most ID/contractor do carpentry work in m'sia. S'pore oso dun haf raw material...import best choice oso m'sia..haha... Can't verify on which is better, but i felt that m'sian have better handicraft skills than those in s'pore..Juz a personal thought.. (btw, i dun come from there).

If only overlaying, no need additional water proofing. U cant hack toilet floor tiles till 5 yrs ltr (for new flats) cos need to remain water proofing seal for HDB(or something like that)

I haf chk out at ikea reg their cabinet. problem is the top cabinet, they will keep a gap on top of the cabinet (meaning it's not flysh at the top). or else their top cabinet will be too high to be access due to standard size of their cabinet. This will mean once in a while u will have to clean the top of the top cabinet. But I am quite interested in their door/drawer closing system. & its cheaper than Blum

Hi all, I'm getting flat from Blk 26D. Juz receive by mail last nite the key is ready for collection for key next tues. think its abt time the rest of 26D will be collecting oso. Still looking for contractor... but key ready for collection. Had nopt been working hard enuff for reno. now abit kan jiong liao !!
