  1. I waited around 3 weeks b4 he called me back but i was impressed because he was the only one who prepared 3D drawings for us for 1st discussion. The other IDs I met with just showed some sketches. Then based on the first proposal/quote, he will take in your comments and revise the drawings & quotation. I've received the revised quotation and will be meeting him this weekend to see the revised 3D drawings. Forgot to ask Dan if he will be accompanying me to buy furniture & lighting. Several IDs that I met up with do that and I think it's most useful since they have a better eye to match the overall concept.
  2. I'm sure if u are not comfortable with the ID, you can request to change. However have to do it diplomatically and not make things too ugly. If it's a matter of style, I think they will understand (hopefully!) Since i'm a potential Fuse client, also wish to express my concerns. The ID servicing me is Dan and I must say he's quite creative and understands our needs. I'm overall very happy with his proposal, however sometimes instead of accommodating my "wants", he insists that it won't work out. The thing is that other IDs try to work around it rather than be stubborn. Should i then try to insist on having it my way?
  3. I have a friend who hired them and paid abt $17k (incl elec wiring) for living rm TV console, dining hall full height mirrors, master bedroom TV console, a small shelf in the study room, chengai wood for planter box. do you all feel that it's expensive? I'm also considering to hire them for my new house but still not decided yet. Agree that the cost seems higher as compared to other firms that I've approached - Fuse Concept, LS2, Calybur. The quotation from the other firms are lower, even though they are proposing more carpentry. really having headache now as my hubby is very comfortable with the designer's concept - clean & minimalist - as he is afraid that the others will not be able to do it in a classy manner.
