My black galaxy granite top has arrived!! And we are simply loving it! Btw my furnishings of my place have been arranged to arrive only next year april so the complete look will take me a longer time... Gotta leave singapore for a while...

Hahhaha you all very humourous leh! Shucks man bats on her pillow that is really really bad!! scary! and snakes in the toilet bowl are pretty common, it happened to my ex boyfriends house many many years back!! luckily we noticed man! or else wa i won't even think of the consequences man!

And best of all the HDB officer called my contractor telling him that there is an mystery person calling almost everyday to complain bout the reno!! i was fuming mad!! how come pple can complain bout my reno works but not to the town council how bad the lift landing looks? and why won't they waste their energy to improve the surrounding of the flat ? haiz... and the best part is i know who complained!! cos there was this once my boss and i was downstairs and this lady with her whole family was there, she was complaining bout the reno.. on and on she went but she didnt know that we are the new owners.. terrible man.. when i recieved the complain i went up to the place and guess what? the family was there!!! and she pretended nothing was wrong.. haiz nothing to say man.... i just hope next time she won't move house or dun reno then she will understand...

Grills are up and painting started! yay! living room 1 living room 2 Study Actually i kinda regretted getting fixed panel grills, but then again i have no choice as they are sturdier,for my place all are fixed except for the kitchen.. Will update with more pics tomorrow with my coloured walls.

hey phx.. yup they are glossy laminates.. as for the maintainace it is definitely easier than the fairer colours cos thru time the lighter colours will turn yellow and theres more to clean but for black its just cleaning the grease away to prevent the stickiness from cooking. Thanks the reno is going fine so far only have got some problems with the paints but my contractor rectified it with a breeze and yes i do recommend him, will PM you his contact, we like him. Anyways our reno is considered rather simple like he said if we can throw in more $$ it will be really really solid. Guess a face lift like this is we are really happy, imagine if its full reno?! Haiz no choice no more spare $$... Apple freak thank you ah... we are considered not so daring liow actually we wanted to go with black tiles, you know those with shiny specks? but i though i love creme colour so much and it seems cleaner i managed to persuade my boss AKA my hubby Actually there are air bubbles on 3 of the cabinet panels so my contractor will arrange for them to redo it till we are happy!! Mace and Typ, you all stay in TLB? wa with your assurance i will feel better now.. hope the town council will be able to help us residents but upgrading the lighting , lift and the total outlook of TLB. Wa i didn know the air is dry there.. maybe can get a humidifier for the kiddos..

hi there butterflykisses, thank you for the compliments.. well we prefer the classy feel then the totally modern look but then again as we have kept the previous owners marble flooring, we also have to match our taste and the style, plus our contractor have contributed some ideas which have been helpful. So basically we are doing - full reno for the kitchen and 2 toilets - building a relaxation area with the living room two, due to the full length windows - building up a storage area in our study - partially glassing up the study - full house painting, plastering , plumbing and rewiring - L box for living room one - false ceiling for dining area hehe and there are some things he threw in for us like our dresser adn other stuff, can you guess why we like him so much?? !! Heres our entrance.. not doing much due to budget constraint.. keeping the grilled door as he proposed since we wanna save some cash... we are just gonna paint this area and decorate it.. Yeah i kept the flooring!!! thanks for the compliments but i agree with my contractor that with the laminate we will achieve the condo effect but i really prefer tha marble.. can save some money there!! hehe.. Actually i am trying to achieve a fusion look.. modern classy with a wee bit of nostalgia.. hope that we are able to achieve it man.. we are keeping our fingers crossed... !! Btw our pt blk is at telok blangah rise, next to mt faber? and yes pt blks are a bit bigger than the flats offered now..but one question how come they dun come wih store rooms?? Really envy pple with no kids their hse can be made so nicely.. mine will have to be baby and kid proofed.. and with no storage room!! can you imagine thier clutter!?!? !!

] Hi everybody!! After reading this forum i have decided to post up pics of our old new place... Old as in resale and new as in we just bought it, it is still undergoing its facelifts or should i say a major cosmetic surgery.. I realised i was looking for people to post up pictures of their point blks and flats that are really old and around telok blangah area but i just can't find it, i guess i have to start the ball rolling then.
