  1. Finally, the big reveal......the close to finished dry-kitchen!  Wah words really cannot express how long we have waited for this kitchen to be finished. Must say we are really pleased with the results!

We chose to clad the kitchen cabinetry with stainless steel for easy maintenance and a clean modern look. The live-edge wood slab counter-top was paired with a white quartz counter-top for an elegant clean look, and we thought it was a nice contrast between the steel and the natural wood slab.

Also, we love the island hood! Huge but good looking piece of machine. We also chose to install a roller shutter in a section of the cabinetry to store those appliances which we use on a daily basis. There's a power point inside, so we don't have to take the appliances out if we choose to - less clutter on the work space! Good for storing your fruit juicer, coffee machine, toaster, rice cooker, etc:)

  3. It's been 2 months since we've obtained our TOP/CSC but sad to say we've yet to move in cos the contractor made quite a number of big mistakes with the finishings and have to redo a fair bit of the house. But it finally seems like we can move in by end Sep! Fingers crossed!

On a happier note, our long awaited mini zen garden has finally been installed! And we're really happy to be able to share our joy here!

May I know how much u get the suar wood? Do the company have any website? U need to drive to KL to choose and they will deliver to SG?

    Thanks!

The shop is called Art of Tree. You can find them on Facebook. Look for Jeffery, very nice chap to work with. They will pass you the contact for a delivery company to ship the wood to Singapore. Better you head down to KL to choose as they have a wide selection. My cost was $2.3k

  7. And we finally found the wood slab for our kitchen counter top. Had to drive all the way to KL, but the quality and price is worth the effort!

  8. Thanks for the suggestions!

To be honest, we were inclined towards white as well but have concerns over how to keep it clean (jeans rubbing off, ink marks or spills). The fabric can't be removed for washing, so its very difficult to maintain. The next choice was the grey combi in the 3rd pic...but then we have concerns about how grey the whole living room feels (with the cement floor and concrete dining set and whatnot). Ugh...headache man. If anyone have experience with white sofas that they can share, please do!

Anyways, so we did some more shopping over the weekend. We chanced upon this B&O A9 speaker that was on display at a furniture store and fell in love with it. Apart from the killer looks (to us anyways), the sound actually filled the whole furniture showroom which was pretty **** huge. Turns out the price was eye popping as well...sigh. And the piece that was on display at the furniture store was a limited edition with a denim cover and brass trim which was sexy as **** and the sales rep was adamant that B&O don't do sales.

Thankfully we didn't buy that sales rep talk and googled only to find that B&O was having an annual sale at their showroom last weekend! We just took that as a sign for us to splurge on the **** thing and drove down on Sunday. We managed to get the display set (black version) at 20% discount! Now happily shopping for custom covers at this 3rd party site: https://www.skiniplay.com/7-beoplay-a9

We were thinking of choosing some pop arts/anime designs to give some color to the living room :) hope it works out well!
