  1. Moreover, this is not a simple "oops delay, sorry this is a one off thing. Wont happen again". This delay is likely deliberate and planned.
  2. The problem is... these clients were not told from the very beginning. The company were not frank with how long the renovation will take. So, they are running on very little trust.
  3. Agree with Maldini03. Is it possible, putrisherie, that because of your close relationship with the director, your experience with them is much better than the others?
  4. It's quite hard to believe that not a single one of their clients have approached the company about any unhappiness with them. For these people to resort to a forum to find people in the same boat as them, it shows that it is likely their efforts to resolve amicably and privately with their ID have been unsuccessful.
  5. Hi putrisherie, Why are you the one relaying these messages for them, shouldn't they be the one to settle any unhappiness amongst their clients?
  6. True, you can't please everybody. Especially those who are not willing to settle for subpar services.
  7. As someone who hired an unreliable contractor before, my advice is, whenever possible, go with a company someone you trust (family, relatives, friends or friends of friends) engaged before. That is the safest way. Talk to them and ask them (on top of questions about quotation, workmanship details and etc.): When crises arose, was the problem rectified by the ID professionally (i.e. no evasion etc.)? Did the ID keep to her/his words? Were there any conflicts between ID and client? Was the ID honest and open throughout the whole process? Potential reno clients have to safeguard themselves. Don't let them psycho you to think that as long as the company is not cheating you of your money, you can close one eye to other kinds of dishonesty by them. At the end of the day, these people are doing business. So, inevitably, albeit unfortunately, they care more about their business. Their company's wealth, reputation etc. (PM if you're interested to know more)
