  1. reno are never cheap..personally i think 47K a bit on the high side..but i agreed that Roy is reasonable kind, he wouldnt tok you too much 1 la, try to nego more la..

eh 43 light points?? :jawdrop: my 3room also 21 nia leh..you sure got so many or not??

I tried to nego oreadi but Roy say best price and if add anything in future to make the house nicer, he won't charge me :yeah: ... went to several IDs and his was the only one who included rewiring and not hitting $50k... He counted 43 light points but told him to tey reduce for me.... haiz...

Eh babytan, whats "mau' yong? my chinese is very bad kekeke

Cyn, how come your place needs 43 lighting points? You might want to consider reducing it cos for a start, you be paying for replacement bulbs every then and now to replace spoilt bulbs. Its one of the disadvantages to begin with LBox and Cove lightings. My family home has this problem. One light will go out after a while and when it gets replaced, another light goes out again. Its an endless cycle buying replacement bulbs plus Lbox & cove light areas accumulate alot of dusts very easily. Not fantastic for people with sensitive noses. Im very curious where your light positions will be located.

Design not out yet so not sure where the lights will be located... will post in y blog once it's out :yamseng:

  2. it depends on what you want to do lah,

    more lightings = $$$

    more carpentry = $$$

    blah blah blah = $$$

    :) Roy's quotation is reasonable, don't worry

maybe u really do alot of stuffs like hacking and rebuilding walls etc etc

  8. Window Cool came to fix up the films & blinds.

workers are good, friendly. the films all no problem.

then the blinds: we noticed the color of the blinds are wrong! they confused between the hall and room blinds colours.

oh man..... but they are most willing to re-do all the blinds without hesitations.

i asked for discounts and i will accept the wrong colours, but sales guy apologises and he prefers to re-do everything for me.

i suspect tat the cost prices of blinds are very cheap actually. it probably costs lower to re-do than to give me any discounts.

so to all; please take note of cost prices of blinds or curtains.

anyway, i'm quite happy with Window Cool despite of their boo boo. not a big thing.

they will come again to fix up the blinds.

i can tell one thing; fixing up the films make heaven and earth to the heat you feel at home.

it really make a world of difference!!! immediately, i can feel its alot cooler with the films.

So to all; dun save $$ on such things. films are really important to your home. it really cool down yr home and save you electricity bills on fans or air cons.

especially if u always have sunlight on your furniture or other house items, please fix up films on yr windows.

it doesnt cost much actually. its alot cheaper than doing yr curtains or blinds.

    Hi donut88!

Mind sharing how much did the films cost in total?

    Thanks! :yamseng:

  9. After more than 1 month of ID searching, finally decided on THE ONE :dancingqueen: ...

And he is none other than Roy from Inzen :deal: ... Have not sign on the dotted line yet cos waiting for the revise quote but will be meeting him on Sat to finalise and view a few of his projects...

Been running around today and am dead tired so will update more soon :sport-smiley-004:

  10. Hi Everyone!

After 1 month of ID visiting and discussions, FINALLY, decided on Roy :deal: ... :dancingqueen:

And the funny thing about my experience with him is that I just meet him yesterday and everything seems to be so soon-soon... Price- almost meet my budget, Workmanship- will be viewing on Sat, Comfort level- Good :good:...

To think that I almost confirm with Tau Interior... Luckily, I brake in time, did a U-turn....

Am glad to join the Inzen Club! :sport-smiley-004:

  11. Yeah.. I can put 2 compressors.. there are 2 ledges.. one outside the dining room window and the other is outside the master room window..

Yeah.. my unit is at high floor.. but it is not windy.. coz all the windows are facing west.. :( see the metal thing outside the window.. this is the No. 1 thing I want to remove from the hse yet cannot.. it is blocking half of the window's view.. 8|

    IMGP0114.jpg

For me, I'll go for air con in living and dining room since doing a major reno.. If not next time regret :bangwall: , very messy to do it when living in...

  12. hmm... just talked to the aircon contractor.. they gave a quote for system 3 aircon including compressor and bracket for 3 rooms at $3088... another system 3 with 2 indoor units and bracket for the living room at $2988..

still thinking whether I should install air con for the living room.. seems won't use it often.. and according to the size of my living room.. think it really takes a long long time to feel the cold air.. most importantly.. it might destory my feature wall's design...

hmm.. what does you guys think? Does anyone install aircon in the living room??

Are you able to put 2 compressor outside?? I got myself a system 4 cos mine is a really old flat which doesn't have a air-con ledge so no choice.

From your pics, your unit seems to be on a high floor... Very windy?? Mine is on the 4th floor so decided to have one in the living room just in case it gets too warm
