  1. Hi, I've got a couple of queries about mounting ceiling speakers for a home theatre surround sound system, or rather, future-proofing them. First time home owner here so might be quite silly questions, please bear with me. 1) I'm considering a wired surround sound system, which means the cables for the rear speakers will probably have to run through the wall. Does this mean my upgrade options will be limited in the future, since I can't exactly change out those wires already hidden in the wall? 2) Also, if I have to mount the rear speakers, means probably gotta drill into the wall. But I'm thinking if I have to replace them in the future and the new speaker mounting brackets don't fit the existing holes, means probably have to fill with cement or putty and drill new ones.. Which sounds messy and troublesome. Anyone can share any solutions for this, besides putting them on a shelf instead? I'm trying to avoid the shelf option to keep things looking simple. Thanks in advance for the help!
