Any idea what is the typical thickness of marble skirting for living room? Trying to replace a few pieces of damaged skirting but can't seem to find a skirting as thin as my current one (approx 5mm). Was told that the skirting these days is thicker than 20 years ago and it's not possible to slice the marble thinner else it will break the marble... not sure fact or myth... any advice appreciated. Thanks!
