  1. Hi, My master bedroom bathroom's ceiling has cracked and start peeling off. A checked by HDB confirmed that the crack is not due to any leaking. It is mainly due to the moist from the bathroom and over the years, the plaster has weaken and thus the moisture caused it to start cracking and peeling off. I am thinking of doing the repair myself. But I guess for me to cover the whole bathroom ceiling, just plastering will not be sufficient. I would need to get some plasterwall or dry wall to get the whole ceiling cover up. Any idea if where can I buy the plasterwall? Alternative, I would also like to check if anyone faced similar problem? Did you get a contractor to get it fixed? Can you please recommend me a good contractor for the job and roughly how much would it cost. Thanks in advance for the advise.
  2. Hi All, I am looking for those round latch that you find in a typical chinese design cabinet. Something like the round round thingy in the picture below. Does anyone have any idea where can I find it and how much would it cost. Thank you very much.
  3. Hi, Thanks. I will call them up to check. Btw, your friend got a nice place. He seems to like all white ah. I like the bookshelves alot. Haha. Good idea.
  4. Hi All, I have an old marble table at home and the leg of the table seems to be breaking soon. I am looking for a replacement for the leg. Anyone have any idea where I can buy a direct off the shelf replacement for the leg or any place can get one customised. Any idea how much does it cost. My table is a oval shape six seater table. Thank you very much.
  5. I went to Best Denki recently to look at the wine chillers. According to the sales, for build in wine chiller, must get those with ventilation vents at the front type. Reason is very obvious, those with ventilation at the back might not be able to "breath" very properly.... sad.... because those with ventilation at the front type are very expensive... the cheapest that I saw is already $899... and the rest are normally $1200+... furthermore they come in standard height... the shortest that I found is 815mm. way taller than what my ID had given me... anyone came across any wine chiller with front ventilation that is smaller in size??? the sales person told me that i can't find any in the market that is of smaller size...
  6. hi wuga98, thank you for the information. no worries. I can wait. best is you can share with me the exact model you are using. if it is good. maybe i will get the same one also.
  7. hi wuga98, i am looking at exactly the same setup as you. i am thinking of putting my chiller below the kitchen top and next to it will be my fridge. can you share what is the brand and model no. of the chiller you are currently using now?
  8. hi wuga98, thank you very much. you really help to clear alot of my doubts. i am actually thinking of building something like this. at least it clear some of the space on the cabinet top.
  9. hi wuga08, thank you for the information. as for the chiller below the counter top. is there any consideration we need to take? like is there going to be a problem that the door of the chiller won't be able to open once fitted in? cos i'm thinking that the cabinet door might block the chiller door and prevent it from open out fully. care to share what make and brand is your chiller you are current using?
  10. hi all, i am looking for a wine chiller also. initially was looking at the dual temperature type cos can store white and red wine together. but most dual temperature one is very big. do not want a too big one. so was thinking of buying a normal one for red wine. white wine can store in the fridge. i intended to customise my kitchen cabinet to place my wine chiller just below the kitchen top. sort of like flush with the kitchen bottom cabinet. any good recommendation for such chiller? any idea what should i look out for and dimension. thanks.
  11. i just bought it at expo. got it for $5. Initial quote was $5.20. seems like we really need to squeeze those sales until dry dry to get a good deal. 3 bedroom cost me around $2.7k. one id quoted me $2.9k close to $3k for 3 bedroom using china brand laminate with 15 yrs warranty. so afterall still happy.
  12. Hi nus, Your renovators sounds quite good. how is his workmanship? Is he a contractors or ID?
  13. Hi Mos Burger, Thanks for the reply. I did not walk up as it was a Sunday then i drove pass. Maybe one of these days I should make an appointment with them and see for myself. Just that read alot about inresponsible contractors. So want to be especially careful with those that I never heard before. Any idea what is the quote for your colleague?
  14. till no still no reply? seems like no one actually heard of nu design? appreciate any form of feedback you might have. Thank You....
  15. anyone here engage nu space design before. appreciate any feedback that you have. drove pass their office this morning. abit disappointing. cos it's not those typical ID with nice office and mock up. it is just a small door along a whole stretch of shophouses. on the door just stick a piece of paper that says nu space is on level 3.
