ok painting 98% done... becasue i did not have enough paint for the single wall in each room. 1L each. hence only 1 coat. so have to buy more for the 2nd coat. and the painter will come back. MBR BR2 BR3 ok for the varnish, i say very worth it. he varnish the 3 BR doors, and main door, all the skirting, and all the BR floor! yes very nice now. Err... its very value for money. i give them $270 because of the different colours used in the room and a very good job they did. And they did a good clear up of the house too. Now thinking for the Door grille, and door frames... what colour to use as they again offer cheap cheap to do the job. hehehehe. they moonlighting to earn a bit more, i save a lot.

ok my neighbor have the same layout as yours. and she had some interesting idea for this layout. (she is a interior designer) But now she only draw the idea on the floor, still waiting for HDB to do the defects. She hack the wall between the MBR and living room and new wall from the HHS middle and the BR3 door line. Hence making the MBR bigger for WIW or other stuff. Her TV will be this wall... same idea as me. as for her slope wall she will be doing 3 feature wall. (like a mirror image 7) so the wall will look straight. like a stair design. Hrrr hope you can visualise.... hehehe if not you can pop in for some idea.

Yesterday the electiction came hand help me pull the cable and power points from the MBR into the living room. they did a very good job helping me to minimize the trunking. actually wanted the scv and power to be pull from these point. But after checking the toilet switch, they could pull form there. so only 1 trunking instead of 2 running behind the door. Here is a point for light using the aircon trunking running out form the toilet switch. Here are the trunking for the SCV and power point in MBR which will be hidden by partition wall. Here are the wires out into the living room. And finally here is my switch for the toilet, from 1 gang become 3 gangs. the heater switch will be plaster cover.

Ok today doing painting. Well I did mention about the painter offer to paint for me cheap cheap. And he asking for $150 and 3 painters will use 1 day to paint the whole house. ($50 each) I say cheap and he got the job. And he offers to varnish all the doors, skirting ect. for $100. He provides the varnish and man power. Hence total $250 for 4 men painting and varnish the whole house. I bought all the paints, total about $400 20L for the ceiling. (Lilac White) 25L for the wall. (Barley white) 3L various color for each room (red, purple, green) 5L for area painted by me. (cocoa) Here are the paints. here are the painters working hard. and there gone most of the paints. They work very fast... start at 7.30am and by now 2.30pm is about 88% done. So far good job... i took 2 hrs just to do the 2 walls.

yea very near Chinese Garden MRT. Chelsa lighting a few lighting shops there.
-
its at Boon Lay shopping. not sure is it cheaper. i think its fair priced. i forgot about the shops near jurong east swimming complex. should have go there to compare or see see. but for the $500 lighting... assume they mark up 50% they profit $250. So can cheaper by how much? $100? The installation for each light is $8. But i think the empire fan is cheap, IMM selling $100+ more, i think so. hehehe unless i buy alot of expensive lights, then i go hunt in detail.

At the same time the Air con worker help to drill the two holes for my TV wiring. the 2 pipes are place through the holes and patching done. the left hole will be hidden by a vertical console, the right hole will be behind the TV. The living room view. The 2 pipes in the MBR. all my wiring will hidden in the wardrobe.
-
OK here is the testing of the three air con units. Very happy when i don't see the trunking in the rooms.
-
so now so touch up of the holes and the final result. here is the hole. here is the patch. and here is the final touch up. here is the final pipes trunking outside my doors, which will be cover up with L-box and the final pipes trunking inside the MDR, which will be cover up with wardrobe and L-box
-
well i have my contractor to get the air con an he arrange the people to install. it the same price as what gain city or Best selling. its least here i can arrange how the piping runs. i saw a few of my neighbors with the same floor plan, and all got a standard piping trunking running through the rooms and a big loop in the master bed room. it is not that nice and difficult to hid. i not sure the people at gain city will install the piping the way i wanted.
-
well i stay on top floor. The false ceiling metal boards are standard for all units in these few blk in st64.

Here is the big compressor... Once again panasonic and its big, bigger then most other brand. (My big oven also panasonic) the workers had a difficult time getting it out the window. There are lots of shouting while they carry it out the window. and finally it out. Note to myself, and advise to others. Don't buy over size things!
