Hi Hi Candy Any pics to share with us? Now that you mentioned it, I personally feel that the kitchen space is really small. Sigh... my reno is just into 2nd week & I am already impatient. My friend came along to view my home. When she saw my MBR toilet, she went but when she see the common toilet, she went So we decided to make do with HDB's balcony doors & opted for relaying of common bathroom instead.

Just got back from shopping. Went to buy my electricals & IFC @Sungei Kadut. Bought my TV, washing machine, fridge, oven, 6-seater dining table & living room set. Sigh.. more to go. Kel, i wanna see pics!!

Leaving the common one alone to cut cost. Ironically, the block is pink. Aircon Going for Inverter. Planning to put up on all 3 bedrooms (MBR & study sharing an a/c). 2 white elephants hanging & trumpeting. Common Room Toilet Door Freaking hate it too. ID convinced me its a good & expensive door. Oh well... MBR Toilet Black rough tiles on 1 wall, dark gray ceramic tiles on the rest. Shower screen, new vanity table, bought this huge sink & cool tap, boxed up the pipes & changed door to frosted swing. MBR & Study (We hacked & combined) Due to the odd shape, we opted to fully custom made the MBR. 7ft Wardrobe, Bed frame comes with bottom drawers, 2 sidetables, wallpaper for above bed frame, a tv console & dresser. Study, we have a long table which stretches the whole wall. Paint Colors Mentioned before. Majority is white with a bit of black & 3rd color. Given a choice, i'd go all white with cement floors. But settled on being moderately minimalist with touch of cosiness. Kitchen We love island counters. Kitchen arghhh... so yeah.. doing the normal stretches of cabinets. Only the one opposite the sink will be suspended. Don't like the bottom piping underneath sink to be seen. White top (dun ask me which white) with black cabinets with a few black glass door. Kitchen sink was so ex. I was mentally computing the number of shoes I could have bought. Got us Rinnai cooker & hood. Lightings Same as yours I think. Chelsea Lightings? Haahaa.. Damage 1.1K + another est 500-600 on false ceiling lights TBC Feature Walls None. As we wanna swing our TV if we're seated playing MJ :x Roller Blinds For bedrooms & side window of dining. Got a contact for it. Will do this last. Shoe Cabinet My original plan is also to build a shoe cabinet and seatee area covering the whole stretch of the entrance foyer. Price was ... So I was thinking of buying a workshop bench & yes, the bomb shelter will be renamed the shoe shelter. Balcony Still deciding btwn changing doors to white folding ones vs removal of door & construct windows. Hb said he worry that I have to clean it each time it rains. More like he for himself. Overall estimated damage: $33-35K not inclusive of electricals.

Hey Garfield101 I am not sure to whom your qn was directed to. Mine is will be a mixture of white & black. A 3rd color has yet to be decided. May be going for red or orange or grey or bronze. My hb is the minimalist.. his idea is just the tv & a few bean bags. I'm more realistic as we're gonna be entertaining often, the bean bags idea doesn't really sit on me.

Just did my house shopping today. Bought lights, sanitary items, kitchen sink & cooker + hood.. zomg... i almost fainted at the amount spent even after lessing discounts given today. As keltong knows, I am a one-stop person. I do not have a habit to buy abit here & abit there. As such, I never compare prices. Just see what i like, point it out to sales staff & ring up the bill. Next shopping stop will be electrical items & sofa + dining. Afterwhich, I will let my ID run the show till he pass me my keys I must be the easiest customer for my ID. I just point, he give me his views. If his views are good, I will nod, he will jot. Easy peasy. Oh.. yep... I am staying at Blk 357B. You can come and visit once its done !!

I am afraid that my room will not be cold enough thats why I do not wish to share the compressor if all rooms are to on a/c at same time Btw, anyone knows where I can get boxes for packing items in for moving?

My ID is recommending just that. Im getting 2 compressors: 1x12K BTU for MBR & 2x10K BTU for each of the other rooms. Tomorrow we will be choosing our paint, material selection & sanitary

I will be doing a wall feature for my bomb shelter. I guess my ID will have to work on the handle issue I am combining the MBR & Study. The entrance to MBR will be constructed just next to the common bathroom. As you know our layout, even with hacking the shared wall, it is still a seperate space. Me & hb spend alot of our time with our PCs gaming. So we do not wish to be "seperated" if one decides to sleep & it also safekeep our personal documents within our room confines. Say... Anyone else combined both MBR & study plus running on 1 a/c? I am intending to put the a/c next to the MBR bathroom wall. Worried that both rooms may not be cold considering the 2 spaces sharing 1 a/c.

Oh.. I thought HDB re-tiled all units; being it vacant for more than 5-6years, it would have been a standard norm. I have yet to shop around for furn or electrical items. Maybe will do so end of this month. My ID is targeting 25th April to hand over keys. We did consider constructing windows & leveling the tiles to make the living area bigger. However, my only source of light in the day is the balcony. So we decided to replace the balcony sliding doors with foldable doors for more light entry. Cons - rainy days :s I love to cook & bake too! Haahaa... Maybe can share tips & recipes.

I noticed your floor tiles have dark patches & presumed they did not do your unit; hence posting of pics to show how bad.
