  1. onepostwonder.. u always come in the same timing as me.. hee

ur house seems ready to go..a bit more touch-up .. it will be fit for a king to stay.. !!

    Heh yup !!

The house is abt 40% completed. More to be done. Stay tuned ya? !!

Looking forward to your beautiful castle as well :dancingqueen:

  2. Anyone has this problem?

My flooring in the living room is lower than my kitchen, this is due to the household shelter door preventing my living room flooring level with the kitchen.

I am thinking of doing a kerb or a slope to have both flooring level.

    Anyone has any suggestion?

    tiles? laminates? parquet?

my ID did tiles 1st, then the cement screeding was done... thus, the floors are all level

  3. No wonder.. you have already signed up a big package with him..

Besides reno.. wat else are u doing with him??

So the 'tv feature wall' is given FOC before signing the package or after?

oh... initially, I just wanted a false wall so there'll be no holes in my hole when I wall mount my TV... but he was kind enough to come up with this idea !!

there're several things that he offered "FOC" during the process of renovation... 27.3k is BIG package? many ppl say it's cheap considering the things I'm doing...

wait for the final result :sport-smiley-018:

  4. hmm a bit puzzled liao.. if the centre hole is also cornice.. then can that cornice handle the drilling of ur tv bracket... and the weight of the tv.. tot u have to do a false wall with reinforcment to mount the tv..

there'll be some wood in the "hole" for mounting the TV :P

a lot of effort by Kenny to do this for me... and it's free :P

    Gas pipes laid...

    f_gaspipem_8d8b31a.jpg

The piping behind the fridge area, will it be affect by the heat dissipated from a fridge being positioned in front of it?

my ID did not raise this issue with me... just hope nothing will go wrong. i don't think fridges nowadays are that hot, at least my current one isn't

  5. huh?? cant see.. think i'm going blind..

do u mean the black circle thing in the centre of the border made by cornices..?

tot that is supposed to be a wall?? how your ID run the wires to there..

the black circle is the cable TV wire :yamseng: the center "hole" is also cornice, not a wall... thus the cables are hidden behind it

  6. hmm so the cornice acts like a border for ur nice nice tv..

but how your tv wires going to come out?? any trunking for them?

what wires are u referring to? the wire shown in the photo is the SCV cable, electric socket will be mounted by the side of the TV

  7. Hi,

Wow... how come ur air con trunking can go through the master bedroom toilet at the top to the room? Coz I tot there are wires inside and cant go through? Coz thats wat happened to me :yamseng:

dunno leh... Kit Seng did it, so I asked my ID to do it the same way...

we have the same ID :)

  8. Hi Kelvin

    Thanks!!!

But my tv will not be mounted on the wall.

I will just buy a simple tv console or bring my old tv console over to my new house.

The cornice will be the same width as the recess area and all around it.

Then print a darker tone colour and the inner wall will be much lighter colour.

    You get what I mean?

    Thanks!!!!

    HAPPY

r u gonna use that area as a display area? otherwise, what r u gonna use the inner wall for?

  9. Hi Kelvin

How about cornice around the recess area in the living room?

    Can you visualise it?

    What you think?

    HAPPY

sure nice one... play with colours or maybe stick wallpaper... cheaper than making a wooden feature wall, somemore got "mid-air" look :sport-smiley-004:

u can show yr ID my photo, see if he/she is willing to do 1 for u

  10. Hi Kelvin

    Nicely done!:dancingqueen:

I like your mbr features wall.

What kind of materials they use?

    Is it cheap or Expensive?

I tot of having it at my living room.

But dont know my id will throw in foc for me or not.

    HAPPY

    It's FREE :sport-smiley-004:

made of cornice and I like the mid-air look of it... wait till it's painted, even nicer :bangwall:

  12. Zila, can reveal how much is your tv anot? Maybe its one of the top-end models thats why they took it away? Why not check with Samsung whether did anyone register the warranty for your tv? Each tv set comes with their own serial number and i am sure you can check the serial no. on your delivery order as well. Checking by yourself will be way faster than waiting for our Police to do it... *Think they are more concern in trying to find the Mr Mas now*

Just to check around, can i change the lock on my door? I would like to change it to a non-open at the outside (err, know what i mean?)???? Can this be done without changing the main door?

i wanna change my main gate... the one my wife is currently using is very solid and safe

  13. Hi Kevin.

I attached the pic below. The lights is going to be hanging at the wire tat is dangling nearer to the window there. Sori for the small pic :jawdrop: Then another will be at dinning area. If its base on ur pic, will be the marking at ur ceiling there the back dot there.

    dsc00158eb1.th.jpg

it'll sort of interupt the light that will shining out of the cove lights ya?

1st time see such designs though, it may turn out unique :dribble:

i think yr hubby was trying to be practical by having centralised lighting in the living room

  14. Hi Kelvin!

Your reno looks good so far. :notti: Good luck with it! Can I check with you on yr Alumix wardrobe....how much does it cost and for how many feet? I am planning to put a 4ft by 4ft (small WIW kind) in the guestroom but have not decide what kind exactly....abit confused actually. :dribble: There's so many companies doing this nowadays!

    :jawdrop:

    Angel

should be 7ft full height... cost me more than $2000 because the walls are not even and my ID has to do extra to make the walls even before mounting the poles

u can ask alumix for a quote directly before u ask yr ID
