  1. Hello guys, I have a problem with the air and sewage pipe that runs up the middle of my bathroom area. My contractor has kindly boxed it up nicely, but it looks really big and disruptive to the space (like a structural column just popped up). My question is, can it be done any better? Is there a minimum thickness for the calcium silicate boards and metal framework used to box up the area? Suggestions and solutions much appreciated. (These pipes are terminated at the top with a false ceiling that covers all the "twists and turns", so what needs to be concealed from the bottom to the top is just a straight pipe.) Thank you :) Regards from a New Homeowner
