Hi Ryuki, Do you have any idea what kinds of lights you want to have in your house? Round lights? Hanging lights? Spotlights? My wife & I bought from this shop called Lights Arcade. The salespeople there are very friendly & helpful & can help advice on what kinds of lights to use. We were served by this lady called Jane & we were very happy & satisfied with her service. She has very good product knowledge & was very patient with us. Their shop has quite a variety of designs. If you see other designs at other shops which you like, you can try asking Lights Arcade if they have similar designs. Their prices there are quite competitive & may be cheap too.

If can paste on the kitchen glass door, it would look BEST!!!

Just saw the bomb shelter door size. Width too small to draw or paste liverpool logo on the door. Another alternative is to paste the liverpool logo on the kitchen glass door. What a sight it would be.....

Hi all, My wife just gave me a brilliant idea y'day. She said why don't we make the bomb shelter door more colourful by painting Liverpool's logo on the door? I thought, that's a good idea . But how to go abt it? If say we paste Liverpool's logo on it, is it called a wall decal? Walpaper? Or otherwise?

Hi Zephy, I guess most of the pple here are drilling thru the toilet next to the aircon ledge. The trunking would be sort of "concealed" inside the common toilet & MBR toilet. After that, you would see the trunking from the MBR all the way to the BR2. If i rembr correctly, BR3 has no trunking because BR2 & BR3 aircon are fixed back to back. So the trunking would be seen from the MBR all the way to BR2. So the trunking is inevitable. But i guess if you had already done the latter (ie trunking thru the living room), it can't be changed liao, rite? To make it look better, maybe you can think about doing a box-up to hide the trunking. Did your ID/ contractor propose anything like this? Of course, there would be additional costs incurred. I don't think drilling thru the toilet is illegal because almost all of the pple are doing that. One look at the window ledges & you would see that.

Hi zephy, Is yours a 4 room or 5 room? For my house (4 room), the aircon piping goes from the compressor thru the wall (just below the window) of the toilet. The piping then goes from that toilet to the MBR toilet then goes out to the MBR. From the MBR, the piping is connected to the other bedroom. For the BR2 & BR3, the aircon is placed back to back on each side of their walls. All the pipings from the compressor onwards are sealed by trunking. If your contractor is doing the piping thru the living room, then i guess he needs to box up the piping. Did he tell you that? Any others do their aircon trunking some other way? Can share?

Hi all, Today i installed my aircon & lightings. However, there is a problem with two of the lightings installation. U see, there are these 2 lighting points along the corridor (1 in the living room & 1 in the MBR). I am doing hanging lights for these 2 lighting points. However, during installation, the electrician said that HDB drilled too deep the hole for the electrical wiring, thus making my light installation difficult. My round lighting base plate could not fit to cover the hole. The screw is also not deep enough to go into the hole. Therefore, my electrician can only manage to cover 3/4 of the hole, thus exposing 1/4 of the hole (with the electrical wiring exposed). Anyone also encountered this problem? Any way to solve it? My electrician said have to use cement to fill up the exposed hole. Think the contractor can help to remedy this problem? Why HDB drill so deep a hole har? Btw, how to insert a file? Wanna show you all how it looks like.

Hi everyone, Can i also sidetrack a bit? If say my capentry needs 2 weeks to be done starting from next week & 2-3 days to install, do you all suggest doing the lightings, window grilles & curtains installations during this 2 weeks break? However, the capentry is from my ID side & the other items are from other contractors which i have sourced. Or should i wait till the capentry is done before i install the other stuff? My concern is that my other installed stuff will be damaged during the moving & installation of the capentry. Does it happen? Any advice?

Just to add on with regards to other stuff, anyone got any recommendations for window grilles contractors? Need to do for the whole house (MBR, 2 x bedrooms, 2 x living room, kitchen). Do we have to follow the standard designs given by hdb in the pamphlet?

Hi all, Wonder if anyone has any recommendations for kitchen sinks & window grilles? I'm sourcing for these items now. Thanks!
