  1. Shop selling paint in the industrial park should have. check with power J trading at Blk 1 Yishun or any hardware shop around your area. Acetone is mainly use in Electronic Manufacturing to degrease; cleaning of thick film etc. If you want to use on paint, you can use turpentine 'da ping'. For quick dry paint, use thinnner 'tian na'.
  2. Use a fine metal file to smoothen the edges of the alumn. Hold both end of the file and run it along the edges of the alumn; i.e "T" U won't get a smooth finishing if the file is not 90degree to the alumn.

  7. Check with Teck Cheong Alumn, Pang Giap and Alpha metals. The insert is make of hard plastic, the quality is not that good in holding heavy weight like glass. Maybe, get acrylic sheet and maybe you can use a piece of wood; cut to that insert shape to join your alumnimum.
  8. Continuous straight grain is Hairline finishing, short grain is 4B finishing. Grade 304L is mainly use for residential purpose. Grade 316L is mostly for chemical industry and marine industry uses. For fastener like screw, bolt and nut, it's mainly 304 and 316 too. If your sink is stainless steel in hairlsine finishing, get a pc of wool(brown colour, something like scotchbrite from hardware shop to polish it.
  9. If it is stainless steel, you can polish it but if it is chrome to stainless steel finishing, it rust. For your case, I think it's from the water. Just polish it. ** Stainless steel from Japan has a better quality than those from Finland or Thailand.

  11. Better get a contractor to do it. It's not a simple task to carry, transport and fix suchh a big piece of mirror. You need something to suck onto the mirror when carrying or fixing up. Mirror is most likely to be crack when place in laying down flat position.
  12. Unless you are not expecting a good smooth and lasting finishing, whatever treatment done on plywood and whatever brand of paint and primer you use, it's a waste of your effort. The plywood just keep on absorbing the liquid, you will see a lots of grains appearing.
  13. Very likely you will regret. Unless powdercoating, normal painting won't stick well on stainless steel surface.
  14. "T" moulding - try this Kim Men Hardware at Blk 3 Ang Mo Kio Ind Pk 2A

  16. If those antibiotic like doxycycline and erythromycine stearated are not effective to you, your last resort is Isotretinon. My younger girl is 5 months into this drug, be mentally prepare; it purged like ****, big red bump with pockets of pus. Maybe you should try TCM, Chung Hwa free clinic at Toa Payoh has a group of physicians specialize in treating skin problem. Consultation is $10/-. Refer to their web for more information
  17. Stainless steel, like railing; as seen in the bus interchange won't rust easily. You can wash as many times as you like. For others like steel in galavanize finishing or chrome to stainless steel finishing, it rust faster in wet area . There are some hardware shops selling s/s hand gripe or towel hanger as cheap as $19.90 only. This material is very light, maybe it's not 304s/s. **stainless steel is also a chrome finishing product but the compound is different. To known more, check with the hardware stockist, they have the catalogue.
  18. For steel furniture, thin wall hollow material is use. As such, you need Mig welding电焊- welding by means of wire not Arch welding; that's electrode焊支. The paint around the broken joint need to be grind off. You won't get the original finishing anymore.
  19. Setting up a factory? Try Hup Hong Machinery. I want to share with you that it is not practical to keep a table saw just for hobby DIY. The machine may cost about $1,500/-, you need different saw to cut different material . The most important thing is; can you handle this saw while cutting, you have to push the plywood against the running saw. At great force, if you are not holding it tight, the plywood bounce back. The noise generated and the saw dust is also a problem. In industrial workshop, dust collecting bag is attached to the machine. this vacuum is to use by mean of air receiver which require MOM license and bi-yearly inspection. It is better to order cut to size plywood from carpentry shop and get a jig saw for minor cutting. Just change the saw blade, you can use jig saw to cut plastic, plywood and stainless steel etc.
  20. What product or what spare part you are looking for? If no power supply, check the cable connection. For drilling tool and grinder repair, try this Chang Tai Chiang hardware at AMK Ind Pk 2.
  21. The frame is cold-dip galvanize finishing steel, it rust and together the accumulation of dirt jammed the hinge. I have not try, maybe you brush off the dirt trapped on the hinge, loosen the rust with WD40 and lubricate it.
