  1. Hi Isling, Ya..saw on the web that only low levels available now. How low can u accept? 4th / 3rd? Dover and Holland still have high level can try to aim for those if you dun mind. Hi sake-sushi, can PM me ur ID/main contractor? Like ur reno. Me getting quotes first then decide.. u spend how much on the reno itself?
  2. Hi Mos_burger, Hope i can share a bit here... All the 3 units which u mentioned i all "ding dong" and went in before. 346 is the best layout and its 90sqm. But left only 7th storey now.. so i guess you wont want it also?? 348 is smaller and its layout is a mirror reflection of 346 but the cut in (smaller part) is the living rm.. so living room is smaller to make space for the staircase besides. 348 is mostly unblock, but have to bear in mind that the living and bedrooms (especially the MBR window is facing the MRT station)...so noiser than 346. Then the site next to MRT (opposite blk 89) is for future development of high-rise building..dunno how tall it will be.. but scared later block wind??? 344 the layout is different, when open the main door, the living room and 1 bedrm is exposed, so not much privacy. BUT the living rm v big... so guess most of the pple took that unit is bcos they see that living rm bigger and that is more impt. If you noticed the $ for 344 and 346 at the same level, 344 cost more..so i guess there is some values to bigger living room. True enf, the MBR and 2 bedrooms are all block by another block opp (blk 90 izzit??). Another thingy, the kitchen toilet is in the kitchen itself so its not like 346 and 348 condo style (toilet seperate out from the kitchen). Hope this helps! Ur selection 2day? Which unit i choose ah.. hee cannot say here leh.. later got "bad pple" follow me home.. hahaha my dream units (4 of them) all gone when i went down for selection.. sad sad ... the unit i choose was like my 5th or 6th choice... bobian! Now still feel a little bit bitter abt my dream units Abt starthmore, the same auntie gave me some insides abt the units here... apparently, the doors (main doors and bed room doors) and the main gate in Strathmore are of lower quality. Dun worry abt the carpark noise..its not noisy (unless u ganna lower floor of Blk 89). Juz knock knock can liao... so far i knock on so many doors only one units rejected me.. the neighbours quite friendly... Hi OOCTY, u are from Sgbride forum izzit? Tink i chat w u b4

Yupe that time i went in it was windy... dunno izzit the auntie kept open the main door or izzit bcos the unit itself is very windy... the view from the MBR quite nice can see the biopolis..and at nite the biopolis is very colourful.. the rm big a not i cant remb le.. i only can remb that the MBR toilet is bigger also.. So i guess this aspect (windy or not) the "older neighbours' in the forum can provide more pointers? Ur appt this thur? whats ur first, 2nd and 3rd choice units?
  8. That time i went into that auntie hse abt 3pm the sun is on the living rm and bedrooms.. but juz little bit only. The auntie say the west sun quite all right.. dunno how true lah.. Anway most of the units left also ganna west sun not quite many to choose from also.... Any older neighbours who stay 326 can give ur pt of view pls?

Hi, from my pt of view...if you compare 324 and 326, 326 will be hotter. 324's living rm and the bedrms are all facing the sea (west coast area) hence, as you may noe, wind will definately blow in from direction of the sea, thats y 324 is much much windy as compared to the unit besides - 326. Me and my HTB knock knock into one of the 326 unit before and apparently to my suprise is was quite windy, dunno if it is bcos the owner kept the main door open or what...hmm Then the owner also say quite windy. As for the MRT noise level, we cant really hear much as compared to units at 348 (Blk 89) (Btw, we also knock knock into one of the 348 unit..hee). But if you wan higher levels, 348 is a good choice. Another good choice will be Blk 89 346 ..but left with lower levels.. tis unit will be the same as 324, which is windy.. but one catch.. if you noticed the low flats in front..tink Blk 50++ will be tearing down soon, so if HDB starts to built high rise buildings, by taking a lower level of 324 will means no wind..... Btw, 344 Blk 89 has a different layout, it has a much bigger living rm as compare to other units... Well...no offence to anybody k.. these are jus the analsis me and my HTB came up with.
  10. Tink if you dun mind lower floors, shd have some units left. Apparently there are pple who give up their Q numbers . So qiao, the 2 applicants infront of me did not come so when it was my appt time, i juz go in. Dun lose hope, if you dun need the flat that urgent, there are a couple of units in Dover Blk 28D (xx-77) quite good...slight block only (as compared to others) and still have high floors left .
  11. Hi Big Orange, As promised, i helped you to ask abt the ROM cert. On the next appt, we will be signing the lease and taking keys and have to produce the ROM cert. The officer say can defer, but must be in writting to the HDB Branch office (not the HDB hub). Must also accompany invoice etc as supportative documents. Then can defer how long depends on case by case basis. Me gotten by Queenstown flat! Any good ID to share? Ideas share???
  12. Hi, #348 is very much nearer to the MRT. In fact, even the MBR is facing the MRT so its gonna be nosier as compared to Blk 90 #326. The site accross the MRT will be reserved for future high rise buildings, hence, the MRT will be between two high rise building areas, and there will be a posibility that sound will travel upwards which can make the units much more noisier then now. But of course if you are aiming high units, #348 offer better choices. Btw, if you notice the $ of Blk 90 is higher than Blk 89 so i guess there is more values to Blk 90. Well, this is me and my HTB point of view lah, dunno it will be true a not.. when is ur appt date??
  13. Hi Big Orange, I asked abt the ROM cert on my selection. HDB say have to produce ROM certifcate on the next appt (my case will be 2-4mths time). If no cert have to write in to the HDB Branch Office to appeal with the invoices etc.. then will be approve on case by case basis. As to how long can we stretch the appeal, it depends on case by case basis also.

Blk 90 units facing other two blks (u mean the lower blks across the road)?? not really leh if abt 15-20level still quite all right lah.... but again i agree is lower level than blk 89 and but Blk 89 noisier.. Nvm lah.. will see whats left then i take hahah... suprise that pple will still give up their no 2day....

Hi pple, I have a couple of questions regarding HDB & Cpf rules and regulations.. hope someone can help to enlighten me.. 1) If we set the loan period (with HDB) to 30 yrs now, are we allow to change to 25yrs, 20yrs etc later on? and also if i change to 25yrs next time then can change back to 30yrs? How is the flexibility like? 2) As for the issue of mthly installment, are we able to have partical deductions from cpf (even if your cpf can fuuly paid for the installment) and the rest comes from cash? Or can we pay HDB thru cpf (completed deductions) and top up with cash to min the interest. How is the flexibility like? Hey sake-sushi, U staying at which block and unit? Can i go ur hse "ding dong" and see the unit? haha
