    woww.. thanks for the info.. i thot supposed to be starting on the 15? anyway it doesn't matter =p... btw everyday the selection starts at 8am huh.. coz my at 9, so wonder how many units to shortlist first before my turns.. hehe..

    Mine also early in the morning so i also dunno how much units to shortlist b4 my turn.. thats why i ask HDB this question loh.. tink 5 shd be more than enf right? Presume that there are applicants at 8am, 8.30am and 9.30am? :dunno:

    Hi all future neighbors :D ,

    I like to find out something from you guys....

    HDB has done up both the toilets with tiles and flooring when you guys purchase izzit? I like to know can we actually hack (remove the tiles and flooring)? Cos I went to Tanglin Halt today and one of the future neighbor at blk 89 told me tat cannot hack must wait for 3 years then can overhaul the toilets.. its that true??? :dunno: HDB got such rule meh??

    U hv to show 'proof' that both applicants getting marry...

    I heard from my HTB tt his colleague defer 1yr coz of one of the parent passed away so reli bobian...

    I think they show them 'death' cert or watever la..

    Hi, what i'm afraid is that HDB wont allow us to defer to > 1yr.. we have already book our hotel (end next yr) and if HDB die die dun allow that long deferment then how?? Get married early?? :dunno:

    I got a lot of hurdles. One by one at the time.. i planning next year. But i booked my unit already. So at the mecy of them lo. They release earlier, i marry earlier?? that depend.. cos i want to get marry in 2009.. 2009/09/09 :) huat lah.

    If i;m not wrong 20 Sept 2009 is still in the lunar 7th mth. You may wan to double check in the calenders. Btw, alot of pple (including myself) have already book for next year's hotels. So if you wanna get married next year better hurry..if not all hotels will be fully booked (especially the hot dates)

    Okie.. i will ask them when i go for selection next week and let you know of the out come. What i noe can defer lah.. in writting and have to support the deferment with hotel contract (to show the day you getting married). But can defer for how long i also dunno. :dunno:

    oh so u looking at level 30 and above huh... so ur dream block is 90..for me i still haven really look into the units i wanted.. betta not to aim coz scare of disappointment.. so i shall wait till the night before then starts to decided =p.. heehee...

    BTW i already married.. I know can defer but don't know for how long... for a few months should not a problem..

    Hope only lah... tink with my Q no, definately cannot get level 30 and cannot get blk 90 lah... just hope only loh.. :rolleyes: If have best lah, if dun have also no choice, choose the next best one loh :P

    Mayb the defer part i ask HDB later.. thanks ya :sport-smiley-018:

    Our journey to Tanglin Halt started one evening in 2006 when I “chin chai” asked my girlfriend whether want to spend $10 and apply for the flat (yes, typical of most Singaporean man but that was not my proposal, I did proposed to her when we got our flat :P ). Come to think of it, that evening also happened to be the last day for the balloting application, and lo and behold, we were not only successful with our application but also got quite a good queue number .

    This neighbourhood is not new to me. I spent my childhood days growing up here (at Tanglin Halt 16th storey), studied at New Town Primary School and mixed around with “the gangsters”, who btw were pretty notorious and plenty during those days. So, moving back here again was kind of nostalgic. Just the other day, I brought my wife-to-be to the 16th storey neighbourhood, showed her where I used to hang out.

    We have completed our reno and moved in since Jan this year. Some pictures to share of our humble abode.

    pongy.. you Q no so front sure can get a dream unit of urs.. no worry lah... you must bear in mind there are still other location for selection. Pple might take up holland since it's so hot as well. Not only that, there might be some pple in front u of who give up their chances due to steep prices etc... For mi, tho my no is 30 more than yours, I still very confident that i can get at least level 9.. so no worry =) ;)

    BTW are you looking at level 30 and above izzit?

    ya loh... HTB wants as high as possible... to him, level 15th and below considered low already! :jawdrop: (Buay tarhan him) tink by our turn we cant get level 30 and above lah.. so try to aim as high as possible. Actually, we like Blk 90 better, but tink by our turn, all good units in that blk will be gone...since that is considered one of the hottest blk among the 3 blks :( Will see how it goes ... cant wait for the selection day!

    Btw, u ROM already? Dunno if HDB can defer until end of next yr for ROM cert a not.. hmm... :dunno:

    Hi all,

    newbie here. Just happened to come across this thread.

    I got q no. 11x for 4rm Queenstown too. My selection date on 21 May. Hmm..hopefully got a good chance to get a good unit.

    Any idea when is the first selection date? hee...very anxious to keep track...hehe

    Hi, no leh...i tink first day is on 14th. Called up HDB last time and this is what they told me.. dunno how true lah cos all verbally... :dunno:

    Me too hope to get the unit of our choice when our turn comes! :P

    I finally got the package! 4 :P more units are added into Blk 91..#04-302, 17-302, 36-304 and 02-316. For Stratmore Blk 50, 02-203, 06-203, 02-207, 13-207 and Blk 51, 10-187 and 19-195. Hope this helps! :sport-smiley-018:

    yah.. I realised that they release more unit, initially 5rm Queenstown is 89units available but now is 97

    units! but I can't identify which one is the extra one.. anyone aware?

    I tik some SERS ppl gv up their unit suddenly... hmmm...

    ya so i'm anxious to know which are the additional units.. i managed to find 4 'new' units (in Tanglin Halt) and last sat i kpo..went down to take a look at these 4 'new' units, and pleasingly, they are juz like other new units... So really dunno y pple gave up their chances. But dun care lah, as long as the condition is gd.. the more pple give up the better right?? cos it means we have more units to choose from!! :dancingqueen:

    I din bio 5rm ones so cant tell u which are the new units. Btw, i tink there are some additional new units from Blk 91.. :notti:

    U got the same Q no as me right?? How come ur appt is 16th?? Tot HDB serve the same no of applicants every day?? That is funny..hmm :dunno:

Btw, i tink there are more units than what is shown on the web (this info i learn from sgbride forum). So i'm anxious to know what are the "xtra" units that are available.     i too tink that the high cost will actually turn some pple off. in fact, the price is real steep.. if really take one of the unit there, I will be the slave of the house for life..lol

    BTW the appointment date is out already. my appointment is on the 21st.. tink will start on the 19th May..go check and update here=)

    hey i got my appt date also. mine is 17th..so i dun tink it start on the 19th.. mayb its gg to start on 12th or 14th. Nevertheless, dun care which date they start lah..as long as there are still flats available for us will do! :dancingqueen:
