    tt's great! no regrets for us to get intra for our reno. finally shift in this wk and really love our nest. so comfy and homely and really got class.. hdb in condo style :D many peep into our home and say very exquiste design and very beautiful home.. haha felt like we are staying in a hotel suite :D

    pongy.. u haven received your 2nd appointment date? most of the pple in singaporebrides forum already gotten their key... try to keep calling.. else complain all the way up.

    me havent get the 2nd appt date.. the webby still says "we will invite you to sign the lease in due course".. managed to get hold of the officer ytday. She still say the same things.. our defer ROM cert submission need approval first before releasing the keys.. cos we defer >1yrs. Got like that one meh? Tot can get keys first, then within 3 mths after getting keys then if there is a need to defer then submit letters to defer. But this officer is doing the other way round, then everytime say, submit for approval first, dun dare to commit when can get keys. Call her until very sian, very hard to get hold of her and get hold of her also no use cos she say the same things!! I belive alot of sgbride forum pple also dun have their ROM cert, so why they can collect the keys first, why cant we also?? Just because we need to defer >1yr then need to access so long? We submit all the banquet invoice, AD photography invoice and BS invoice etc.. I dun have any more receipts to provide as evidence liao.. what else they want???? :dunno:

    you can try calling them at 830am or 9am when they just started their day. usually not so busy at the start of each day ba.... :thumbs up:

    Tried calling at that time 8.30am to 9am also.. still no ans.. that officer always like that MIA.. her mobile also off.. have been tried calling her for >1 month and guess what.. i only managed to find her once! Wrote in to complain also no use... v sian

    i haven really started looking for ID/contractors. we dont intend to look for ID. most prob will engage a contractor n we will do our own designing ba... Save Cost!!! hahaha....

    hope to start reno on first week of sept :)

    pongy, maybe u can try calling HDB like some of the sgbrides forumers did. i think hdb is getting more efficient nowadays ba... i also didnt expect to get keys so fast. :good:

    i went down to our new flat to take measurements, the actual measurements of flat is smaller than what's indicated on floorplan! really very small...

    Did tried calling leh.. but hor my officer in charge always never answer call.. very irritating!! 8|

    hm.. really soooooooo small ah.. alamak.... :bangwall:

    btw, i just collected keys yesterday. the flat is soo..... small..... intend to do simple reno only ba... dont intend to get alot furniture. hope it will look bigger hahaha....

    Hi All, I only found the recommended reseller list..will scan and sent to anyone interested. You could ask these reseller for pricelist i guess..I get my BLUM stuff from a shop in Jalan Sultan, Texiles Center if i remember correctly.. :notti:

    Thks... still deciding to do a TV feature wall a not.. very x but feature wall can hide those cables... apart from what the pioneer guys did for you, if i have a false ceiling and no feature wall can i hide those cables, juz like i have a feature wall? Hope you noe what i'm trying to say

    Hi neighbors,

    Need to understand some reno thingy from u guys..

    Feature wall for TV

    1) Will there b problems if i change the size of the TV next time? Eg, i have now a 40" TV, next time i buy 42" how to hang onto the feature wall? Must drill new holes? Won't that be ugly?

    2) Will there be sufficient gap b/w the Tv and the feature wall for ventilation?

    3) If dun do feature wall the cables can only be hidden by trunking (is that what u called it? the PVC looking strips)

    Toilets - understand that no hacking of walls and floor tiles (for the next 3 yrs, err tink left 2yrs right?)

    1) Can do overlay, thats what i understand. But what are the problems if do overlay? Will the tiles 'pop" out many years later?

    2) If do overlay, that means the level of the floor is higher right? will we have to level the whole hse also? (to balance up with the increase of height in toilet?) Then can the toilet door close well with the increase of height?

    Hope someone can help here...quite idoit with those reno thingy.. :(

    I did try consider Dover Crescent ... went to have a l@@k yesterday ... but finds tat area not as lively as Tanglin Halt ... + kinda far from MRT ...

    So ... back to initial plan :drunk: ... Resale 8| ... Haiz!

    Then how abt holland? This near to mrt and mkt. Its not easy for you to get a Q no next time and do also consider that the HDB has change its rules. The COV for resale in Queenstown area still high? You need to consider this also.
