  3. Yes. Mine is an old flat & estate... Usually the new flats will be much smaller, and look nicer on the outside, but not always practical in the inside (layout).
  4. nice drawing... you did it yourself or your ID did for you?
  5. I was there in the afternoon. The place was so crowded, but glad that the process is smooth and fast.
  6. Yes, another balcony on the 2nd floor. Not going for a major overhaul. Estimate about $20-21k for the reno (mainly carpentry work; building a new wall, hack down one wall, add some windows + grilles, change main gate, painting, & plastering, minor piping works) and another $2k for lightings and some rewiring. Move in after ROM and matrimony lor... Target to finish reno by end Oct 08 or 1st week of Nov 08. Then it's cleaning and furnishing time in Nov 08. Sharp eyes. =) Originally, the 2nd appointment should be on 4th Aug 08. Seller request to delay the handing over coz they need time to get their new place ready and shifting. In fact, their 1st appointment is just one week ahead of us. They really need time to shift from this place to a 4rm flat. Since we don't really need to go in too early, we agree to delay till 1st Sep 08 for keys collection. Thank you. Will post more pictures another day... Just realise I didn't really take the bedrooms yesterday when I went there.
  7. Dun stress... by next week, you can really "Home Sweet Home" Yes. Plan to replace the current grilles at the main entrance with a brick wall, shift the current door out, and hack away that entrance wall, so to extend the living/dining room to the recess area. Oh, which block does your parents stay in? Hmm... mine is the top floor but not the last / highest level, coz the block has a sloped roof. Paid total $527k (Val + COV)

  11. Decide to start this T-Blog, after we'd collected the keys today (1 Sep 08). We started looking out for resale flat since early Apr 08; after many failed attempts to get a good Q number under the HDB's balloting system. Ok, shall skip all the details. Here is the layout of our resting place: Actually the layout we gotten from the previous owner is not that accurate. But will make do with it. 12. Yes Jessie... waiting for your pictures. wah... your lobang already alot... hee let me know when HN has great sales again... need to get quite a bit of electrical appliances in Oct. cM
  13. Congrats for collecting your keys. Mine is next Monday. =)
  14. Hello all... thanks for the advice! I think I will go for similar design for the wardrobetoo! Save $ cos at first we wanted to go for aluminium (and tempered frosted glass but need to top-up more $$) I like white too! Got a few pieces of furniture in white already cos it gives the clean cut look. But somehow find it hard to maintain. Hee... As for the lollipop colour, prob will give it a try! Yeps and more pictures pls cos I think ur house is very pretty!! Adrie
  15. Hi geryl I like ur wardrobe in bedroom 2. May I know if its aluminium or wooden frame? Is the silver thin horizontal strips part of the laminate? Am still deciding btw aluminium vs wooden. Prefer the former cos can't find nice design for wooden until I saw urs (if urs is wooden) I like the lollipop pink too! Hee am thinking of having a part of my cosy corner in that pink too but not sure how that striking color can blend in with the other parts of the living rm adrie
  16. I'm also interested to know to who and how I can sell my old wrough iron gate
  17. Email me your quotation if you don't mind. I will be going down tomorrow to discuss on the design.
  18. I think the worst nightmare that everyone fears is the O$P$ sort of things. Imagine after having paid so much $$ for buying the house, renovation & shifting in etc... then come one day, your beautifully painted/ installed door got a "new coat of paint"... Anyway, I think if the seller really wanna be mean and out to sabo, it's really hard to prevent. Buyer may go inspect the house a day before the 2nd appointment... everything is in order. The seller can still "destroy" things on the morning, or the hr before going for the 2nd appointment. Perhaps like cutting the electrical wire, or tel line, removing some screws from windows, kitchen cabinets, etc... Unless buyers do a complete overhaul, else such acts can be quite a pain too.
  19. Probably they won't be staying... but they did say that they may not be able to shift everything out on time... some boxes etc. Hmm, they even have a piano. If they don't wanna shift that piano, I don't mind taking over that. hee
  20. Gd afternoon to u. Just received the official letter from HDB regarding my 2nd appointment. It says buyer must arrange with seller to do a final inspection before the 2nd appointment. Hmm, inspect what? I'd went to the house last Wed. It's still in a mess. Seems like nothing has been shifted out yet.
