  1. I did a rough calculation, for MBR, we need about 12000 BTU, and for the other rooms, 9000 BTU. For the living room, we need 18000 BTU. However, you can take a lower BTU unit...it just takes longer and consumes more electricity to cool the room.
  2. I agree it's cheap too.....Can share pic? Though I'm looking for stainless steel versions, but don't mind if it's good and cheap.
  3. Hi, I need some help from anyone who is currently staying in LG. I saw 2 drain pipes (connected to the wall) in the MBR toilet. On of them is connected to the aircon ledge outlet. The other one is located near the MBR toilet bowl. Can anyone please help me check if there is this drain pipe in the common toilet? Cos I just check and suspect my tiler sealed the drain pipe of the common toilet accidentally. I suspect this drain pipe of the common toilet should be either on the left or right bottom of the toilet bowl. Thanks.
  4. I will only be calling him somewhere early Dec as my place undergoing reno now....so messy & he cannot come down to measure too. If you manage to call him first, please also let me know his pricing. Thanks. Jovi asked her plumber to adjust a blue color ring in the reservoir by screwing it upwards and it helps. Not too sure if this is the "key". It's pretty common now. Cost I think should be around $300 to $700, depending on the material you chose. I think I called the Alan & he quoted me nearly $800 for the galvanised iron series.
  5. I'm also intending to do that for my bomb shelter. My company has a regular supplier which I have not called them yet for quotation. If you want, they are called Sim Win Liang (62966692).
  6. I just fixed for my living and trust me, it's very technical....cos our flats have beams and pillars everywhere which they cannot drill. I fixed my aircon on the short wall of the living room and the trunking was done via the 1st bedroom, then drill outwards under the 1st beam, then split (water outlet into the common toilet, and the gas piping to the top of the ceiling) and into the MBR via the top ceiling. For your case, I think the most likely choice is connect all the pipings of the 4 units (provided they are all on the same side of the room) and cut all the way into the MBR then water outlet into the MBR toilet, and the gas piping to the outdoor compressor unit via the MBR aircon opening to the ledge. If you get a Sys 4, there will only be 1 set of trunking....If you get Sys 3 + 1, and if they are from different vendors, most likely you will have 2 sets of trunking running all around your house. The same applies to even if you get Sys 3 + 1 from the same vendor but locate the blower units on different sides of the house. Other than the trunking issue, you might also want to consider whether you want to put all your eggs in 1 basket if you get a Sys 4 (risk) & also the pricing of a Sys 4 & Sys 3 + 1.
  7. My kerb is only 1 tile thick from the kitchen and 2 tiles thick from the dining area. Shld be the same height as yours (But I'm using my kitchen floor matt tiles). I had my System 1 for my living room installed today. But it's so difficult for the trunking...cos it's beams and pillars everywhere & cannot drill. Even the aircon guy also quite headache to do the trunking. I wonder when my systerm 3 arrives, it will be more tedious as the "best" spots are taken up by my System 1 liao. As a result, I have to forgo my false ceiling for the bedroom passageway. Sighed..... Ask your tiler to do a mini-kerb for you bah....nicer & more practical. No additional costs involved for me.
  8. But currently, it's the opposite. The kitchen will be higher than the living room. So the water will still flow into the living room when washing the floor.
  9. Actually I also find that our flats have some construction design problem, such as lighting point not centalised, the 2 white color pipes sticking out of the ground in the middle of the floor instead of the corner, MBR toilet door blocking half of the basin, etc. But well, what can we do?
  10. My tiler said it's no good for the kitchen and dining area to be level, but I cannot remember the reason....will ask tomorrow again....
  11. Anyone getting or have gotten the soundbar for HTS? I'm thinking of getting either the Philips, the Teac, or the Sonic Array. All these 3 sounds good and I'm not sure which one to get.
  12. I just spoke to my tiler. He said the difference in height of my kitchen and dining area tiles is about 1 tile thick. So what he is going to do is to put a piece of semi-rounded metal piece on the edge of the kitchen tile to "round-off" the edges.
  13. But wouldn't it look weird for the service yard one to be sticking out of nowhere?
  14. OK...But which one is for which switch? Did u keep both switches "always on"? Hi, do you mean to say you constructed a shallow kerb between" the dining area & the kitchen, ie, something like our walkway to the toilet?
  15. Oh no....my ID or tiler did not tell me anything like that too. But I think I might have the same issue with you when I try to connect the living/dinner area floor tile to the kitchen floor tile (which I'm overlaying too). Can anyone who has completed this area of reno advise? Thanks.
  16. Did you cut yours in the service yard and/or the kitchen?
  17. Does anyone knows what's the white color pipe sticking out of the ground for both the service yard & the kitchen? Can we cut them off? What's the pros & cons?
  18. Bought all my lights today.....so happy....Spend about $1.6K in total. Went Pantech & Chelsea, but their pricing not very attractive and their designs are all so common. Bought all mine @ Hylite Deco (located in between Pantech & Chelsea) as their designs are all so modern & "tech-ky". How I wish to buy all the lights....Ha Ha!!! Anyway, the owner is very friendly and gave us a lot of advices too on our selection of lights. Highly recommend her to anyone who needs her contact details. In fact, I'm surprised to find that quite a number of our LGians actually bought from them too when the owner showed me her sales invoices.
  19. Anybody having a Sys 3 + a Sys 1? I was told by my ID tat I need to apply for permit for an extra 15amp switch for Sys 3 (assuming that if the current 15amp switch provided by HDB is being used for my Sys 1). Is it true? How much to pay? I understand both cannot co-exist on the same 15amp switch as it will tripped.
  20. Guess what? I can officially smell urine under my block (221A). Just went there and it's so smelly. Btw, can anyone share with me the electrical & lighting point charges that your ID charge? Thanks in advance.
  21. Where do you guys go for your lightings & how much do you spend? I'm beginning my hunt for lightings soon.
  22. not only the point blocks....the normal ones too. I'm staying @ Block 2.
  23. Extremely slow and a lot of major hiccups.....next week starting to tile only.
  24. I'm doing black glass backing. I referred to my quotation and it is only written as 14ft and the price is $700. As for the installation, it's part of the package.
  25. At my current place in Bedok South, there is a security feature @ the lift groundfloor where only pple with access card can enter the premises. With this feature, we also have lesser junk mails. Don't know why this project is being scraped by HDB, but I think only my side had this feature islandwide. I will miss this feature after I shift to LG.
