After all the meet-ups and many discussions, I have finally decided on my interior designer! However, I will still like to share my experiences with the many designers i have met before the decision is made. I have contacted and met 10 over IDs. I will start with ones who totally aren't worth the time to meet. The one who left the most lasing impression- Lourve's Joe. We had arranged to meet at 7pm, I received a message at 7.17pm-saying that he will only reach before 8pm! So, i asked what time he'll reached and i was told 20 min. Fine, so for 20 mins, i waited. This guy did not reach until 810pm! The worst is, he brought his gf along. Which in my opinion, was totally unprofessional. Another letdown? i have not received his quote at all, since April till now. What a bad representation of the company! second in place- the interior lab's R#n I went down to my place, gave him a call, and I was told he has just woke up! Needless to say, i rather go home then heeding his advise to have a drink at the coffee shop. The point is, if you can be late or even overslept for a prospective project, i believe the same will happen when the renovation is ongoing. These aren't worth risking my $ in. third one, a lady from Ur#^nd@$ig`. i won't write out the full name nor co name as although she was late, she had sincerely apologized profusely. After the meetup, she provided with the quotation as promised. In fact, she did up her best by following up conscientiously. The reason why I didn't picked her, was because there are other firms who left better impression on me. Then, there was also this guy from Areaconcept. I had asked if he could come up with a quote first, but he refused. I told him that I will try to arrange for a meetup after getting all other quotes (isn't it easier actually to get an idea of your pricing than waste each other's time to meetup?). He gave an immediate reply that low price doesn't equivalent good work. Duh. I know, but nobody wants to be treated like a carrot too, isn't it? Plus, I didn't say I'll not meet him? immediately a NO-click feel with him. So, here are some funny peeps I've met. I'll pen down the good one in the next.
