What Would You Do ?

Hi all,

Want to share my unpleasant experience.

This guy contractor , say from company "O", was recommended by an online chatter in another forum and this online chatter also posted some nice pictures of her renovated place done by this said contractor with his handphone contact. At that time, he claimed he is the sole proprietor of the company.

I contacted him to be my sub-contractor , just to do up the wardrobes for the bedrooms and study room shelves and storage. Paid 75% of total cost in total.

But in the end, nothing was installed at my place as he claimed that his furniture shipment from JB was stuck in the customs due to immigration problem. He claimed he has made a police report but i never got to know the police report case number till today although i have asked him for it.

In the end, my hubby and i demanded a full refund. One fine day, i couldn't get him on his handphone, so i called his company "O" but to my surprise , there was another guy who claimed he was the boss of the company and he told me the subcontractor whom i have hired was only an employee. !!

So up till now, we are still chasing the full refund although he has been paying bits and pieces but it has been delayed since Jan 2008.

What do you suggest to do if you were me ? Thanks for your inputs.
