3room Flat Quote For Renovation - Reasonable?

Hi,

I'm new to this and I've just gotten a 60 sqm 3room resale flat at waterloo street in its original state. Wondering if the following quote from a contractor for renovation is reasonable...anyone can help?

1. To hack off existing living, kitchen, 2 bedroom & 2 toilet floor and wall tile - 2000

2. To demolish wall between kitchen & living, demolish wall between 2 toilet walls, demolish wall between master bedroom & toilet (total 3 walls) - 550

3. To supply and install homogeneous tiles **** room with skirting – 1400

4. To extend living room level to kitchen by 2 feet using polyform – 180

5. To supply & install kitchen & 2 toilet flooring with ceramic & waterproofing – 1800

6. To supply & install kitchen & 2 bathroom wall tile up to ceiling – 3800

7. To supply & install “teak” parquet for 2 bedroom & skirting - 2100

8. To supply and level cement for 2 bedroom – 300

9. To supply & install stainless steel bin – 200

10. To construct sink & cooking stove with homogeneous tiles – 1600

11. To construct base for fridge – 150

12. To seal up one bathroom entrance – 250

13. To change existing water pipe to stainless steel water pipe – 480

14. To run washing inlet & outlet pipe – 80

15. To change WC to sitting type piping (workmanship) – 300

16. To plaster whole house wall & ceiling – 1500

17. To box up water pipe **** room – 250

18. To install L Box and light holders design for living & master room at bed head area – 1350

19. To supply & install aluminum windows for 2 toilets – 300

20. To supply & install 2 bedroom door & frame wooden with lock – 960

21. To supply & install main door & frame with lock

22. To supply & install wrought gate – 420

23. To paint whole house & ceiling with ICI, sealer & piping – 1200

24. To install 2 bedroom with cornice – 350

25. To install water heater, WC bowl, basin & sink tap workmanship – 180

26. To change existing toilet & kitchen waste pipe to PVC - 750

Price seems quite standard to me.

Some cheaper, some slightly more expensive, but it evens out.

Yes, agree with what lawry says. Some cheaper and some more expensive.

Are your quotes all about the same cost? Try getting another quote from Ho Bee to compare.

yeah.. try more firm for quotations.. i search for several firms and got my quote of $18.5k for renovating my 3rm.
