Which One Better For Cctv System, Ip Camera, Normal Cctv Or Cctv With Pc ?

Hi all,

plan to install cctv at my flat.

after search some info, i got 3 type of cctv.

1. use IP camera, connect to tv.

2. use normal cctv, connect to digital video recoder (DVR)

3. use cctv camera, connect to PC (use DVR PCI card)

can someone share :

1. which one is the best quality (for video playback) ?

2. which one can last longer ?

i have seen this one at Home Fix.

its a stand alone camera, that can take pix or videos. quite cool

its motion detection based. once it sense motions, it will start taking pics, stored in SD card provided. No need to connect to anything.

if you want to have video, then connect it to PC.

Cost $199, with SD card provided

I have my doubts on motion detection based camera since there's a time lapse (based on frame-rate) where the camera will start and stop.. you will realise that the recording will stop and start which helps little to help you identify ppl etc.
