Single Siblings Co-share Flat?

Hi,

I'm just curious, under what circumstances can single siblings co-share to buy a new flat?

Got a resale flat and made an OTP and saw that the owners are siblings[should be coz the names are simliar] and not the parents name.

Both the siblings are younger than 35. 1 of them got married or planning to get married and so wonder if that's the reason they're selling the co-share flat.

anybody know how is it possible for siblings to share the flat?

hmm, the mother seems to be still alive, not sure about the father though.

But how are the parents going to pass down the flat to their children?

single siblings can buy flats if their parents are no longer around

or the parents are included as occupants of the unit (in this case one child can buy liao)

In general , you need to have a family nucleus to own a HDB flat.

according to what information you collect , if the 2 siblings forms the nucleus , and one of them is getting married ,then the old flat wouldn't have a family nucleus to speak of.

they could also fall under joint singles An orphan or widow/widower aged at least 21 can apply with another single citizen who is at least 35. (since none of them is above 35 , then this is probably not the case)

but this is one of the circumstances where single siblings co-share to buy a new flat?
