Neighbour's Renovation Damage My Kitchen's Wall

Recommended Posts

Dear forumers,

I need some advices regarding damaged wall. :(

My next-door neighbour completed their renovation a couple of months ago. Recently while cleaning the kitchen’s tiles, we noticed some tiles have pop-out (attached a picture for reference, the red circled portion) Damaged Kitchen Wall

We manage to get the contractor’s contact from the neighbour, and contacted him. After some discussion, he agreed to repair the affected area and replace the tiles. (which is good news)

But subsequently, he didn’t turn-up. When I called him, he either didn’t answer my call or keep pushing the repair dates. :bangwall:

It’s been 1 week, could anyone advice

1. How long should I continue to ‘chase’ or call him?

2. What kind of actions can I take?

I intend to add piped gas, but the city-gas contractor said he can’t add the pipe without repairing the wall. He’s afraid it may cause pipe misalignment later on (ie. if he put up the pipe before the wall is repaired). So now, I’m stuck. :(

Could anyone advice what should I do?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
