Renovation Contractor Or Id

Hi, I am expecting my new 1 bedrm condo to be ready sometime by Jan next year and have been thinking whether to use a renovation contractor or ID. I will only need some general renovation works since the place is new and I have a rough idea of how I want my home to be done up.

I have been reading some of the old posts and it seems that contractors may well be just as expensive as IDs. Is this true?

Can anyone recommend some reliable contractors or IDs that I could approach to get some quotes?

And how many quotes should I get before deciding?
