Renovation Permit

Recommended Posts

Due to various reasons, we are contemplating to 'fire' our ID. Our only concern now is the renovation permit which has already been approved by HDB.

Can we cancel and then reapply the permit? How long would it take to approve?

You need to ask the ID to cancel the old one, and contact your area officer for a re-set immediately.

Normal Hacking of wall & floor tile take 3 working days to approve, demolishing or other major work will take 1 to 2 weeks.

good luck to you if you are in the rush :thumbs up:

do you mean our existing ID to cancel the old permit and then our replacement ID/contractor to apply for a new one?

can we do a transfer instead since HDB has already approved all the required works?

yah, sorry but this is been a sequence of steps for replacing a new permit, alternative you may contact your area officer (name & contact at the end of your permit) to ask for short cut, must tell them you are in the hurry & alot of reason ;)

have checked, no short cut. we must cancel old one before apply for a new permit

our area officer is now following up on our case closely, at least this is a good news for us :)
