Flat screen on console or feature wall?

Just need your views...

We're plannin to get a 32" LCD Tv... and if we mount it on the feature wall... the extra costs incurred will be the brackets and the carpentry works(feature wall). The effect will be nice of course but let's talk about cost saving... If we place the Tv on the console, any ideas to decor the plain wall behind other than painting it in different colors? Do you think putting up a painting will be too distractin? How about wallpaper? :furious:
