Refund Of Deposit

Recommended Posts

hi

during the expo fair last year i signed up with a ID firm and paid a deposit. After we signed up, we went for a another visit and they kept on adding extra items and charging us more for it. We do not wish to continue with that id firm and wish to opt out is there any way we can get back our deposit?

Thanks

Read the fine print. Very likely u gotta forfeit the deposit. Otherwise stick to yr original quotation

you have to make alot of noise and no point reporting to RADAC cos they will just ask you for black n white evidence of the ID firm agreeing to a refund or proof that they are unable to fulfill the contract. I had recently terminated an ID services as the 3D designs were way off and resulted in a delay in my reno. In the end managed to get back my deposit minus the costs for the 3D drawings.

in your case, perhaps you can let them do the minimum (maybe just the flooring) and ask another ID to do the rest of the work. Do go and study the contract that you signed to make sure that they dun state that you need to give them a "minimum amount" of work.
