Any Feedback On Supreme Services?

Recommended Posts

I will be engaging Supreme Laminates to do my 3 bedroom instead of my ID. It was an impulse decision. The sales person, David manage to convince me into taking them instead of normal ID. Have informed my ID and he did mention that they normally measure more than what they should, as he works for Supreme last time. In fact, what convince me to take Supreme Laminates is that they claim that they will be giving me the better quality for the price that normal ID will charge for the middle range Supreme Laminates. After inspecting these laminates in one of the home fair, I decided to put in the deposit. When I informed my ID, he mentioned that they are offering the same tyoe of laminates. My ID is kind enough to tell me to just go ahead with them since I have already put in the deposit. I am going to renovate my house anytime this year and now worried about the workmanship and quality of Supreme Laminates company. They claimed that since they are specialised in this field, they will be the best person to guarantee a good workmanship. Need any feedback if you have ever engaged their service.. how it is?

Their workmanship and service is good.... Just take note that go through ID might be cheaper than u go direct to Supreme. This is what happened to me, end up i forgo the deposit (still cheaper then get direct from Supreme)

I will be using this Supreme Laminates for my new EA flat.

could you advise if there is any problem using laminate for my bedroom and study room?

I heard from my ID that it is scratch prove (mark not noticeable) and dun afraid of water/termites like parque.

Think think i most interested is when the Laminates "pops" is it diffcult to replace unlike the tiles/parque?

Thank you

When laminates "pop up" it will be a messy work to strip a big portion of the installation and that the problem may return again. Laminate flooring is commonly known as float floor as it is resting only on the floor but not bonded to the floor. Hence, popping problem is a "time to com" problem, and I hate the hollow sound when we walk on it even when it is new. Unlike the parquet floor which is directly bonded to the floor. rectification work can be localised. As for termites problem, you can always ask the contractor to do a termite treatment which can last at least for 5 years. Water problem is individual usage and maintenance liao but generally, parquet flooring is water resistible unless it is soaked in water for few hours. In my opinion, the commonly used 50 X 250-300 parquet's cost is quite close to laminate flooring and I'm in favour of parquet as it make the room more cosy than laminate floor as it is natural product. Even after few years, I can revanish the parquet and it will still look new, where laminate floor cannot compare to

Thank you bullet for your valuable info.

We have decide to use laminate today as our ID convince us that the termites dun eat like the wood and it is much easiler to maintain... but most importantly its cheaper than parquet as we are quite on a buget :dancingqueen:

hope all went well, btw she also told me that the hollowness will go away when the laminate expands fully... not sure if this is true...

definetely it is cheaper than parquet....

when do anti-terminte should not do only to laminate flooring but to the entire house... termite will attack anything... so dun waste money just to anti-termite your flooring only...

yes ur ID is rite... after a few weeks the laminate flooring will settle and the joints will tighten, less hollowness i feel...

Hi Devilaz,

Do you use a black layer on top of the foam before you lay the laminates? David from Supreme recommends this to me so that it gets better grip and also it will produce less noise when u step on the laminates. Not too sure if I need it. Advise please.
