Disappointed - Meng Reno & Contraction

Recommended Posts

I would like to share my bad experience with Meng Reno & Contraction in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. My living room floor tiles popped up, so we were looking for a reliable contractor and I heard that Meng Reno & Contraction company have over 30 years of experience so I thought they would be good at their work decided to give it a try. We went with vinyl flooring.

To be honest, it was really disappointed work. We have to called the contractor to come back for rework 3 times. When they removed the tiles, the wall was accidentally hacked and they just left it as is. So we have to call them back to fill up the holes. Initially they only wanted to use silicone until we request for putty as we don't want it to start to turn black just because they wanted to save a few minutes of work. One part of the floor was also not fully extended to the wall. It was left with the jagged edge showing, and the untiled floor was showing at the edge.

So when the contractor came back and filled up the wall but the there were still holes. We had to call them back again to rework again.

The floor was filled up this time. But filled up only the middle section instead of making it a straight line all the way to the end. This created a weird looking section on the floor that protrudes out that sticks out like a sore thumb.

It was truly unprofessional, and they clearly wanted to do the minimal amount of effort and try their luck to see if we would accept it. They would definitely have saved a lot of everyone's time if they did it right the first time round.
