Though that was one of my minor considerations, the main reason for not choosing 344 was because the masterbedroom and kitchen is really siginificantly smaller. Too small for me at least. The space ended up in a bigger living room. So it's individual preference if buyers like such an arrangement. -
Hi Mr. Chong, Firstly, thank you for your reply. I will answer your questions in order. Reason for putting bed which is for my dad in Bedroom 3 is because it will be further away from the afternoon sun. Also, it is a bigger room for him. He sleeps in the afternoon as he works night shift. Is there anyway we can arrange the bed such that it is still ideal for him? If there is none, I will consider setting up a partition for him. From my unit windows, i can see part of Blk 90 and the rest is rather open space. I have not stepped into the unit before. I believe i can only see abit of Blk 91 if I look out intentionally to 1 corner of the window. Blk 88 is a 5 storey carpark. I am at least twice the height of the carpark. It is adjoined to my blk, but only up till the carpark level. May I know which window you are referring to for me to put plants? The box labelled B is the basin and the box labelled O is the stove (I labelled wrongly, should have put S). Which direction do you require for you to comment on my dining? And is there something seriously bad with my exterior? Blk 88's top level is level 6. It is a garden situated above the multi-storey carpark. The height is standard throughout be it left or right. Lastly, thanks again and sorry for multiple questions!

Hi future neighbours, I have a query. May I know which of you has laminate flooring at home? I was thinking of laying it for the bedrooms and a slightly raised platform beside the living room windows. However, my colleague has bad experience with it. He mentioned he is not sure whether it is because of poor quality or bad installation. His iron leaked water and when it dried, the whole affected laminated flooring popped up/ warped. I am quite a sucker for quality, so i cannot stand such problems in future. May I ask for your experiences with laminated flooring if any? Thanks in advance! -
*Updated with compass readings*--28th July 2008 Hi Mr Chong, Think you are busy with a full PM-box, thus I resorted to posting my query here. I have just selected a unit and booked it. Just before I confirm with my interior designers the allocation of furnitures and stuff, I would like to ask your kind self whether there are any major setbacks that you may see from this simple arangement. I do not have keys to my flat yet, so I am unable to take any measurements using the compass. This is as close as I am able to show you now. Lastly, thank you sincerely in advance for your help! It is definitely valuable and nice of you to have helped so many forumers here. Here are the floorplan and the map location of the unit, the orientation of both pictures have been aligned in exact position for your convenience: Thanks once again!

I am also hoping for good that 346 units are not significantly hotter, especially in the afternoon where my dad needs to sleep in bedroom 3. From what I heard from other forumers, they mentioned that it is only slightly warmer for about 2 hours. I don't mind if the MBR gets abit warm cause I am not at home during that time most of the week, so long bedroom 3 is still cool enough for my dad to sleep. So ladies, I think you just need to consider whether the affected rooms will affect you. Erm...sorry...think i mixed up the numbers 326 and 346....paiseh.... -

Yuppie...indeed quite worrying. However, have worked out some sums and set aside a backup funding in case anything crops up suddenly. Just did not want to dump everything in at 1 go. -

Geez...I was just plain lucky to get a better queue number. Wish you all the best! Disclaimer: I did not choose the highest quarters, so I am still partially innocent! haha.. -

Oh...ok...thanks! Think I misunderstood the term "Hack". Replacing of current fixtures and addition of new ones without removing the tiles should thus be fine I hope. -

In my opinion, the left over units in 90 are generally lower. Only a few higher ones are available. Also, they are generally facing the other 2 blocks or the school, which at lower levels, is not so ideal i think. To any other forumers who are staying in Blk 90's lower levels, I habour no ill intentions. Just my personal opinions. To each individual, they have their own preferences. -

Sorry guys for my poor english understanding, but I am unsure of this. Have read the link that TYM has attached. But does it mean nothing can be done to the toilet? or like sakae says, as long the floors are not hacked. I have intentions to add a glass shower screen and maybe change the basin. -

Haha...If I successfully move in, we will be both old and new neighbours....I walk past your old block's area often in those days. Makes me sound old...haha...But I believe I should still be the youngest around here... To TYM - Anyway, I was from Tanglin Primary School. -

Haha, that was exactly what I did on Wednesday. My Teletext is on from 9am-5pm. Guess it's a very common characteristic of excitement. Getting this flat is rather nostalgic for me. I have lived in tanglin halt since I was 3 years old. Stayed there for 11 years before moving to bukit panjang. But i missed this old neighbourhood, probably because most of my childhood is here. Now, after staying in Bukit Panjang for 11 years, I get back into this old neighbourhood again! haha...so much memories.... -

Hi all! I am new here..uber new with my first post..hehe.. Anyway, just booked a unit 346 yesterday. Am very happy about it, though at the same time, worried that HDB does not approve the loan amount that we are requesting. Used the financial calculator from HDB website to calculate, loan eligibilty is about 330k but not sure how much they will approve. You guys have experience with this? Even with loaning 330k over 30 years, the figure we have to pay every month still requires us to top up cash on top of our cpf installments. No choice, we are still quite young, still have little cpf contributions to pay for installments. My main concern is that they would approve the loan on a much lesser figure when they see that our cpf can only provide 2/3 of the monthly installments. Anyone here who might have similar experience? -worried sick
