Thanks. But I just bought it yesterday before I saw ur msg. But mine no brand cost $400. dunnoe cheap or not but I trust my supplier to a certain extent that it's not lousy stuff. They call it 3-way. The rain shower big head and the small handshower are adjustable so can fit my height at comforatble level. There's oso another water outlet for me to put a pail underneath. Tats y it's called 3 way. hee hee Havent' delivered yet. Most prob tml (tuesday 21 Apr)

YES YES! I want to sing praises to my carpenter The first thing I did was grab my carpenter when I reach my house (my contractor was not there) I showed him how my bottle of oil cannot fit into the drawer. Of course he shook his head and initially say structure already up too. Thanks to Steve's and Lawry's suggestion, he believed that could be possible and start thinking again. Thanks guys! I did not insists on my 14" internal storage area. As long as it can fit tat bottle of oil, I can still accept, so save the carpenter alot of work too (he was glad I said that haha) "Give and take lo" I told him cos it's not his fault. He oso admit the carptenter who did my kitchen should have asked what the house owner wants and not act like the house owner, thinking that is what WE want. hee hee. A very responsible and honest guy who doesn't side his company blindly and dare to admit the problem that occurs and try to retify other people's mistakes. In fact, this is not the first case he has helped me solve. (Another story) His code of work is to do until customers are satisfied cos he oso understand we are living there for a long long time. Praises to him again! The black drawer is the original one whereby my bottle of oil cannot fit. The white one is the drawer whereby the runners are adusted lower. A word of fairness. I guess my contractor not bad. Her initial reaction may not be pleasing to my ears and though she did not come yesterday to explain to me as she's supposed to, she sent her other person-in-charge. I guess she's really not a techncial person, hence not having the knowledge, she has to protect her carpenters first I guess cos alot of work if redo lo haha. Luckily, the other person-in-charge din push and acknowledge the problem and both he and my favourtie carpenter start to think of solutions. He oso admit the previous carpenter din do my 14" drawer. It's a big and small drawers, not proportionate at all! So I guess my contractor is not a technical person, so I should have seek her other partner's help instead. At least, my problem solved and I'm so happy. Thank you guys for the advice and support. Lucky everything went thro smoothly.

Yes. I will be firm and ask my contracotr for solutions. Ur mum's ID must be very nice. Everything done up yet still redo for you. Alot of work leh. But good for you lo. lol. Yes I have read ur blog too. really quite a nightmare. I dun think there will be discount or compensation given. At most it's retifications. Since in the first place, already set aside tat sum of money for reno, jus dun wanna exceed budget and hope everything do nicely will be happy liao. No amt of compensation can compensate a poorly designed house right?

It's not easy even when it's recommended by frenz or in the forum. Really cannot 100% trust too. Dun expect perfection but expect up to expectation. Amt tat I pay may not be alot, but it's a price tat the contractor quote. so it should be a price tat she's satisifed with to earn enuff profit. plus i onli ask her to waive off $100 for the upgrade of paint. tats all lo. no other freebies leh. more drawers? considered? haha I like your idea Really make her know that I cannot be smoked anymore lol

I dun think she'll let me lo haha. I cant think of anything she can compensate me on. Holding the $ doesn't make me feel better lo. I just hope she'll agree to retify the problem. I agree with steve tat the middle portion needs to be saw off. perhaps tat means bigger hole for me to place bigger drawers? haha

This is the exact drawing my contractor has drawn for me. She never told me anything abt my requests being impossible. Even when the drawers are up and fixed. She still insisted that I can put my stuff in. I did tell her I will wait one day to test it out whether can really put my barang barang inside. She oso say no problem. NOw problem realized and discovered, she push. sianz. see tat 6" height from the ground to the bottom of the cabinets? I told her I wanna suspended but I INSISTED that I must have the internal height of the storage area of the drawers to be 14" so that I can place my tall bottles. The suspended part I can sacrifice. Most impt thing is my drawers to be big enuff. Yet she did the suspension and forgo my drawers! Whats the use of the suspension then? She could have do the cabinets all the way to the ground lo. I dun mind the sacrfiice. I think the tiler who did the concrete base below and the carpenter didn't do coordination. So if I reduce the suspension height, can the drawers be bigger now? Reiki you really broke my heart. I still pray you may be wrong.

haha if cannot change i will be very very unhappy. i dun even want to step into the kitchen thinking of this. black and white oso no use. what solutions can she think of if she cannot do the change. Use smaller bottles lo. Make myself lei chey lo. Give myself more trouble lo. Pour big to small bottles. It's not funny to me and it's not convenient. I have to face this inconvenience for so many years to go cos of someone's mistake and my stupidity not to check and trust completely.

But I really need a confirmation whether can redo anot. Cos we not carpetners. I dun expect her workers to be honest to side me. So I need to know whether the height of the drawers can change anot. I dun expect her to really tear down the whole thing. But at least if really can change the height, I will be grateful. Of course at least must patch and do nicely la. At least hide the ugly portion inside. I can still accept. So basically if it's confirmed can adjust the height of the drawers, i will insist and be very firm. I want to know how I can insist and point out the solutions to her rather than let her smoke me like a fool. Please HELP

I told her I had already informed her that the depth should be 14". In fact, i have asked her several times whether the drawers are deep enuff to put my stuff and she told me not to worry. She demonstrated putting a medium-sized mineral bottle in the drawer (tat was jus the drawer b4 it was fixed into the cabinets) but she din let me noe there is a table top height allowance to take into consideration! So in the end, when I tried last night, the bottle hit the table top and the drawer cannot close. Just the drawer along can put, but if can put cannot close, whats the point? I regret being so lazy not to do the testing earlier. Now then she tell me I must think of the allowance thingy. I told her I have reminded her the 14" depth throughout and it's written black and white in her drawing lo. She said she'll explain to me when we meet and hang up. I dunnoe how to argue. She sounds like she won't change and insisted that the structure is there. Cannot change.

well seems I dun have the luck or I need to find another independent contractor to ask. Please help me to ask ur current contractor can. Really dun want mine to smoke me. She told me the structure already there. Cant change. THen she told me it's 14" door height. Cannot be 14" depth. But in the first place I already told her I want 14" depth to place my stuff! CANNOT REDO OMG kill me again. My hopes were quite high until jus now................

Thanks gongkia. Well I guess have to get the carpenter down to take a look at the structure closely. No point having the bottom cabinets collapse after a few months. I'm trying to wait patiently for the time to call my contractor. Yes I really do need the luck. The height of the drawers are not even 14". One is 14" if you measure from the bottom of the drawer to the table top but tat includes the support tat the granite is resting on, so the drawer is actualli smaller than tat. The other is even smaller. it's abt 12 to 13" from bottom of the drawr to the bottom of the top drawer. So it's 2 uneven height top and bottom drawers. Just tat it's not obvious. Wish me more luck.

I oso pray. i think too early to call her yet. so wait another hour or so. Early morning gives her nightmare and headache haha Well at least she has a good night sleep while my mind is filled with questions and worries. ;P
