Thks htng for your sharing of info/experience! Even 1 person SPF only consider for filing purpose, 10 person is what was being mentioned by an officer. Since everyone stays at different location which MP should we be approaching? For HDB probably it's only after a SPF report then they can investigate otherwise I'll think base on our verbal words HDB will not be able to do much.

Blueocean, CASE officer mentioned should specify to SCT the amount of deposit made NOT the contract value. Anyway will file with SCT next week liao. cdobear at this moment seem to be the only one who has filed with sct, won, not sure if he had followed up on claim. I believe there are still some victims who have not log into renotalk base on earlier comments posted on this thread but to what i understand from angelpixel they are busy with reno. Have you explored with CASE how to handle your case since it involves >$10k? SPF will investigate if it involves 10 or more victims otherwise it's only filing a report. It will be good to file as a group but with individual evidence.

U&B is under sole prioprietorship was advise by the CASE officer will be able to file against this company.

Here's an update. I went to CASE & spoke to the officer whom I told about the 7 weeks wait, etc she told me I can go straight ahead to sct. SPF is more of filing a report & if 10 or more victims then spf will investigate & action against them. Will call tomorrow to check with sct if it helps if it is a joint effort, for spf definitely. I've just submitted an online CASE against U&B. Intend to visit CASE tomorrow or over the weekend with my supporting documents. For those who reported may I know who is your handling officer? At this point from what i gather affected victims who had reported to CASE are: rainbowguy someone Jstar_closet (myself)...any others? Have not heard from victim100 thus do not know what is his/her status? I'm ok with jointly filing a police report. After CASE will proceed to small claims, SPF & issue a lawyer's letter. Yes, i do have 2 of her mobile numbers but you need to call either 1 whole day/>10 times, sometimes Florence answer, sometimes she only sms. Wow! she owe suppliers i was told by my newly appointed id that big companies can force her to file for bankruptcy. POF: how you came to know she also owe suppliers?

We're trying to utilize our 40% initial payment (cross our finger work as we're now at painting stage) then thereafter hope they disappear so we can terminate the contract & engage another contractor . Florence, but Florence as i understand is in charge of finance for u&b At what stage did she delay ur reno? Did you check with her regarding the payment stages eg 40% initial payment is until what stage of reno?

Sorry not exactly sure if she's doing 100% sales. I'm going to discuss with her what is the reno process and the completion date and email to her in black & white. I've paid the initial 40% under the impression both (or rather the trust had with Jason's competency) were still within the same company (they are married what). I think will need to be upfront and ask her about Jason. I'm more worried on the workmanship if it falls under Florence. Did anyone signed a contract with Florence? My earlier quotes though were from Jason.

May I know if any of you have signed the contract with Florence? I had the impression earlier that Jason was still handling my reno and Florence is getting sales.
