  1. Thanks for the inspirations! Like to seek some opinions here. Planning to get a white TV console. Notice in many magazines these days that people like to use glossy white instead of matt. But my designer recommends matt cos of the reflection of light when watching TV. Any feedback? Thanks!
  2. Hi KM, My MIL bought us a microwave cum oven many moons (maybe 10 yrs, forgot already) ago! The 1st time I tried using the oven function, there was a lot of smoke (smell like chao tah) coming out! I almost freaked out and quickly turned off the machine. Didn't want to use it again. I thought maybe the smoke is caused by the oil splattering inside when I microwave my food. Few years later, I tried using the oven function again. This time, I wiped the inside first. STILL got smoke! So never never used it the 3rd time. Still stick to my conventional built-in oven & table top oven (Yes, occupy a lot of table space!) when I do baking. Any idea why and how to get rid of the smoke? Thanks!
  3. Hi oxboy, did you check the battery? Maybe battery no more. I just changed mine a few months ago when the ignition got no sound. After changing the battery, it was back to normal. Very convenient. I also used my turbo hob for abt 2 years, still working fine. I'm happy with the big fire!
  4. If you manage to find a standalone oven that fits what you need (to fit a turkey), you need to check on the power of the oven. If too weak (low wattage), your turkey may take forever to roast. Even with built-in oven, it can take like 5-6 hours, so do look out for such things.
  5. I love baking too - so I do empathise with you!!! But it is quite strange that the depth of your cabinet is so shallow?? I thought they are usually standard 60cm deep?? Anyway, you may want to check out Turbo's oven TFX6605 (depending how many functions you want). The depth is 51cm according to the specs at the website. HOpe it helps and Good luck!!
  6. If you plan to use frying wok often, you may wish to check if the 2 middle burners are still 'useable' after putting your wok.
