I did not bargain as the price look reasonable and I ask the contractor to start work. It took about 3 weeks to complete all tasks. I did not let the contractor do the painting as i find it a bit ex. So i source for other cheap painting.

haven't decide ... 3 different contractors for cabinet, granite and solid surface. lot of coordination needs to be done. Desmond does not do carpentory. Did you get the quote from him?

Going to start the measurement for the kitchen cabinet tomorrow. 1. 24 ft top and bottom + 2. 6ft island + 3. $80 laminate for the island Sub total for cabinet: ~ $2,500 4. 14ft granite black glaxy - $1120 5. 8ft table top for island + 3ft leg - solid surface - white - $1300 Thinking of doing Ikea - DIY to save cost. See if can complete all within $4000?

I like this design very much .... trying to match the color theme and the layout, but i think it will be expensive. Anyhow, will see the outcome in Nov.
