I can see next time there will be a new contractor called Ah Pet. Your bf father must have quite an experience and knowledge in different reno skillsets. Tiling is already not easy, he has so much experience in other things like false ceiling and even changing of windows. Actually window needs to have certified workers right. I think it's good. Each of you have a different reno skillset to complement one another.

Aubrey, don't feel depressed. All things are not created equally. Since Ah Wei work is very good, everyone will want to use him, including me. I was also being pushed from one carpenter to another. Frankly my carpenter workmanship is not up to my expectation. But those that I really cannot accept I will let him know and ask him to change. For example there is a glass chipped in my shoe rack door which if one accidentally touch will cut the finger, I have ask him to change it. The good thing about my carpenter is that he is willing to accept the problem and rectify. I think it is a good idea to look at Ah Di's work or another way is to talk to the house owners whose carpentry is done by him. I believe most owner will scrutinise the work done.

I do believe he took over the projects completely from uncle. That means that you do not have to contact uncle anymore unless it is something major. Yesterday some of the things not done, I told him that I could call uncle to verify and he told me no need, he can handle. I believe more people will insist to have him as the pm since he is more responsible and also not a PILOT.

Is that a built in mirror in the center of your MBR wardrobe. Mine was very ugly wiht just a piece of mirror. After much complain and explaining to the carpenter, then they make a cover for the mirror. Your MBR wardrobe even inside also got laminate, very nice.

Yes you are right, the electrician with Jason will not be working for Uncle from saturday onwards. Understand that uncle has got 3 teams of electrician but these teams are outsourced, just like carpentry. So if their work no good, uncle will just change them.

Yes initially I was worried because someone who doesn't know head or tail just took over and I have to explain the outstanding issue all over again. I was also worried if cannot shift, got to spend unneccesary $$ on rental again. I know he will not be able to rectify everything 100% but I am happy with his effort to speed things up. Good morning everyone, here’s the update for the day. Went over to check the place yesterday evening and was quite happy with the progress. Apparently Joseph meant what he said. I wasn’t expecting him to rectify the fault so promptly. So quite impressed with him. Told him that the day before I was not able to check all the stuff due to the lights tripping. He explained that usually it will not happen and maybe the electrician forgot to separate the lines and lump everything in two mcb. This has been rectified as well. Joseph also asked his man to check the tiling since I found three tiles damaged. One was hollow and the another two cracked. The results was 14pcs damaged. He said that he has to check with Uncle whether to replace or rework with chemical and cement. Carpentry has the most problem and I see him shaking his head a lot. I think the workmanship was not up to mark. All the doors has damaged mark at the hinge and think needs to be replaced. Granite top is also uneven and the joint is very sharp (can cut fingers). Glass panel chipped at shoe rack etc. I am hoping rectification can be done today as I will be moving part of my stuff during the weekend.

No problem. Can check with the aircon guy if your cornices or false ceiling needs to be cut. If need, the whole room will have those white powder. So remember to wrap up your stuff. For me confirm need to cut and that's why I delay the delivery for my bed and mattress and sleep on temporary mattress.
