I've always dreamt of getting a poster bed, but on advice of husband due to lack of storage space (we converted our storeroom to the walk-in-wardrobe), we just bought a king sized bed with storage function underneath. Saw a few pictures on the Internet about converting a normal bed to those types with canopy or flowy curtains. I'm also deciding on my bedroom theme now, thinking of creating a romantic mysterious feeling as it's rather dark even in broad daylight. Thinking that creating a canopy bed will be a good idea too, something like below. Has anyone here created something like that but without having a poster bed? Where do you get the materials from? Is it hard work to maintain?

I'm newly wed, currently getting a new home, and deciding on the color of the paint for the master bedroom , which is rather dark even in broad daylight. Not too sure if I will want to be bold enough to paint it a dark shade of red for a mysterious or romantic feel (dependent on deco), as I'm very used to beige colored walls. Does anyone have any ideas or pictures of red coloured bedrooms? And how to decorate it?

Yeah, I like their boss too, v sweet lady. I'm currently seeking a re-quote from Rustics, as still shopping around. Anyone else have comments on Rustics Int Design? Is their workmanship and design good? V headache looking for an ID already.
