Hi guys, my panasonic air con was installed about 4 months and now I faced problem whereas my master bedroom air con will give out some kind of smelly odour when I just switched it on. It will only go away about 30mins later. I had tried putting air freshener in my room but didn't help.I call up the contractor who install my air con and also panasonic. Both told me that my house is not well ventilated hence the odour. Panasonic also told me that my air con comes with the ion function so no need to worry that I will be breathing in unpure air.
I was thinking for those office with no open window, they also cant ventilate the interior what. My wife and I do not eat inside the master bedroom. The other 2 bedroom air con did not have the odour though.
Anyone facing the same problem or have any solutions to my problem? Please help. Thanks.
likely the odor come from the black blower.
can use touch light shine and check. you will see inside trap with moist dust caused odor smell.

1 thing to take note is the gas piping
where you want to place the heater? will the gas pipe run over the whole place?

try melamine sponge or magic sponge
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melamine_foam
some said use melamine sponge can remove the yellowish from the plastic cover.
but take note if the surface being cleaned is not sufficiently hard, it may be scratched by the melamine material so do it at your own risk.
best test the method or product on area any damage will not be noticed before using on full exposed area.

personally still prefer Japanese brand
Hitachi offering nano titanium
Nano Titanium is a cutting-edge technology that uses a TiOs catalyst to provide a powerful anti-bacterial and deodorizing effect
Panasonic offering Advanced+Plus e-ion Air Purifying System
The Advanced+Plus e-ion Air Purifying System with Patrol Sensor monitors the air, and effectively deactivates more than 99%* of harmful micro-organisms for cleaner and healthier air.

Once we talk abt air-con, there's nvr a savings in electricity. Likewise inverter vs non-inverter, who can prove the savings? All these are sales talk and marketing strategies.Single unit like splendid consume 5.5A for 15K BTU VS Panasonic System2 non-inverter, 18K BTU @ 6.6A, isn't it the same?

NEA did the tests with the Mandatory Energy Labelling Scheme.

go for this brand Joven if getting a storage water heater. a 25L (cost around $230) will be good enough.
can search old threads for members feedback about Joven.

Why does water drip from the Condenser Unit (Outdoor Unit)? It is normal for water to drip from the Condenser Unit as condensation takes place when warm air surrounds the piping connections.
it is normal.

LED is the better choice to go... though is more expensive...Samsung LED TV ads called 'misleading' by U.K. authority
http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10332988-1.html
LED TV is still LCD TV
http://www.glgroup.com/News/LED-TV-is-stil...D-TV-40427.html
LED?
LED tv are just LCD tv using LED as back light instead of CCFL like normal LCD.
worth to pay so much extra?
