  1. you wont go wrong with Panasonic, they are Japan biggest home appliance maker. Mitsubishi fridge also alot of good comments. just stick to Japanese brands should be ok.

  3. likely the odor come from the black blower. can use touch light shine and check. you will see inside trap with moist dust caused odor smell.

  8. 1 thing to take note is the gas piping where you want to place the heater? will the gas pipe run over the whole place?
  9. try melamine sponge or magic sponge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melamine_foam some said use melamine sponge can remove the yellowish from the plastic cover. but take note if the surface being cleaned is not sufficiently hard, it may be scratched by the melamine material so do it at your own risk. best test the method or product on area any damage will not be noticed before using on full exposed area.
