  1. Hi all

    Anyone using the following heater

    707.jpg

Any feedback? Was quoted $280 from a shop (have not nego for discount yet)

Not worth the price. I installed princeton in my masterbedroom and compact in my common toilet. Not much of difference and to think that I paid $100 extra for princeton. The guy who came to service my heater commented that Protek will be a better choice than princeton.

  2. Hi sis sleek! Glad that the crazy woman did turn up for the first appt! I can understand the stress cos I also arrange the first appt of my buying and second appt of selling on the same day so that I can have enough time to clear the cheque of my cash proceeds and using it to pay to hdb within the 10 days. When the buyer did not turn up on time for the 2nd appt, we almost broke out in cold sweats... Turned out that they were caught in the jam! Whew!!!

Your dinner looks good! Yummy yummy!!! Now looking forward to your Reno updates!

  3. Take care everybody! Me also no better... Baby rushed to KK A&E yesterday due to fever and rashes all over the body. Fever now yoyo... Up and down... Hubby was sick for the last two weeks too... Sigh....

  4. Hi Ely, sorry to have waste your time flipping the papers:) it's mine that was supposed to be featured but don't know y it didn't leh... Maybe got chopped off last min cos they find it uninteresting.. perhaps? Anyway, I didn't check with them again as hubby doesn't really like it since I accepted the ST invitation. He's quite private and find it a chore to have the photographer over, posing for pictures and cleaning the place too... Cingseu, u guess it correctly!!!

  5. I luv the wicker balls! Ely, everything u touch seems to turn gold! Luv all your purchases and your DIY items.... Where is the earth u can dig out these treasures online? I try to search for stuff in eBay but I gave up half hr later... The items I saw were old and boring... Do consider conducting a course for eBay dummy like me for a nominal fee so that I can be the first to sign up :)

  6. happy bday to ur boi!

yes, a toddler le.. more exercise for u now .. :P

Thanks. The Mummy has yet to get back her pre-preg weight and still stuck with a big tummy. Hope the exercise will help :sport-smiley-004:

hi,ur hse is nice!! i love ur island!! but too bad, my tiny hse cannot fit in an island.. haiz.. and budgettoo.. congrats!!

can i check wat is ur room door type? cos im thinkin of gettin solid wood door.. isit ex? can share w me.. tks!!

    and also ur ceilin fan!

Thanks. My rooms' are Veneer doors. Think it about $280 or $300... Can't remember liao... Budget also can have 'swee swee' house. Just source for the right furniture to get the look u want:)

hi, love the way you done up your house. Nice.

Hope my new house can do as good.

Can trouble you to PM me ur contractor detail. The workmanship looks good. :yamseng:

    Many thanks.

Thanks. PM u liao... There are many good contractors/IDs in this forum. Off hand, I can think off are Donny (Mae29's one), Andrew (May_Dream) and Mr Yeak (My bro's tenant)... So just spend more time inviting them to quote.. Sure can one good one to do for u:) :thumbs up:

  7. That is what I understand for top mount sink, no hole for tap. Friends78 had to change tap too due to top mount.

I think I would do option 2 too. That sound much simpler as changing to another sink will be more problematic. Also I can imagine they might say pushing in then the solid surface will be scratch since the initial was a bit out. Or that solid surface hole doesn't fit if you push back.

Wah.... May_dream good memory... Yah loh... I kept going back to Henry (Royal F) to change my stuff, from sink to tap and accessories. Countless times until they don't even need me to bring receipt, remember my name, blk and unit no by heart... So paiseh....

Csingeu, I will opt for opt 1. Cos your sink quite 'high' or deep and your wifey quite petite... Might have problem bending forward when pregnant... Maybe I think too far lah... But I used to have this problem during pregnancy in my previous flat....

  8. i love your house! very cosy feeling! the cellini sofa looks good for all black also!

Thks:) I insisted on all black cos it's really low maintenance. Can't see dirt easily...Hee...hee...Glad that the effect is good afterall....

super love of your high ceiling and kitchen island!!

Thks... Me too...Mine is at the highest level hence the high ceiling.... But when comes to reno, u will get heart attack on seeing the quote..cos almost everything is 20% premium.. Electricial (I don't know y too... I thot only need a higher ladder), Painting (understandable... more paint I suppose), carpentry (more wood)...the list goes on... But having said all this, I'm still glad to have bought this unit.. :sport-smiley-004:

  9. should i get my contractor to flush it near the mirror and seal it to the mirror and the counter top, though the mirror is up?

Too late cos the solid surface top is up. With this type of sink, the contractor need to cut the solid surface top and push the sink back so that there is no gap btween the wall then mount the mirror just above the sink. I nearly made this mistake too and Henry made us changed the sink when he saw my whatapps photo. To think that I quarrel with him on the phone over it as he kept saying I bought the wrong things without checking with him. My advice is to change to a top mount sink but u also then have to take note of the height of the tap liao if it is a top mount sink. Some top mount sinks do not have the hole for the tap and u might need to mount the tap on the solid surface top.

  10. I like the bedframe too! btw, issit very hard to maintain? cos it's white?

Only the sides r white...still manageable... The bed supposed to be in my masterbedroom but i underestimate the length. Too long till it will hit my wardrobe if I were to place it there so now in the guest room.

  11. U mentioned that your family have been with your fsm for quite a number of years so I guess u guys have that level kind of trust already. I will give the hse a miss cos I don't want the 'What if' questions to haunt me when something were to happen. But indeed this is my first time that I heard a fsm stressed so much on the toilet...

  12. yeah, it's the same Alan as Neubie's.

we're hoping for the best, as lazy us only spoke to 1 contractor which is him.

we felt comfortable and the chemistry is there. *cross fingers*

Oh it's the same Alan....Then don't think u have to worry much... I have yet to read anything negative about him... Safe hands :yamseng: We are also very lazy and only invited 3 to quote. Met only 2 of them. Since u are comfortable and Chemistry is there... think u don't have to waste your time to source for others to quote. Concentrate on the designs, tiles, colours, accessories, lightings u wld like to have... More fun than comparing quotes:) I miss the reno process thou it's very tiring...Have a smooth reno journey... :thumbs up:

  13. Hi

I also have the Flow sofa  My package is Flow sofa, flow bedframe, flow side table, Amphibios coffee table and Manhatten dining set and of cse the bean bag :sport-smiley-004: Sofa is very comfortable but mine is the PVC leather...

  14. :bleah:THINGS I WOULD CHANGE:

    - Should have gone for a 55” TV for the living room. Initially thought the 46” would be sufficient and even chastised The Husband for suggesting 55” as felt it was overkill, like that crazy subwoofer but now regretful as I’m either squinting or wearing glasses if watching TV from the couch.

When my bro first came to my hse, he also lamented on the size of my 40" TV at the living room. He said my TV is too small for my big feature wall... I console myself by saying at least the few Ks I saved on the TV is still in the bank... In this world, it's the available balance in the bank account that matters... :sport-smiley-004:

BTW, how's your rashes and asthma? Better? Take care yah....

  15. Congrats! I read quite a few good reviews on Alan so your Reno shd be in good hands if u were to use him... If I remember clearly... Neubie's (not too sure if it's the same Alan lah) hse is also done by him and it's very beautiful and most importantly, cheap and quite good workmanship:)

  16. btw, my advice for bridal package is... get a practical choice (read: cheap) and resist spending $ on topping up. i know so many ppl spending $1 or 2k to buy so many photos and the whole album only stay in store room right after the wedding day. also have seen many $3k package with gowns as pretty as $5k packages.... so do your research ya? it's tempting to spend a lot for the so-called "once in a life time" thing but this is not wise if one can look at it objectively~ :)

:bangwall::bangwall: I'm one of those who paid $3k extra for extra album of photos so that the sample photos plus negatives (My era still using negative not digital hor) were returned to me. AND the two big stupid albums are indeed stuck in the storeroom! I shd have used the $3k for LV or Chanel bag.... Sigh....Yes, wise advice... don't top up for extra photos... no point... I'm the big carrot who had been chopped by the bridal shop...

  17. Do u have any photos of the lightings that u bought from CITILIGHTS to be shared? :)

    Can share?

Mine looks like a haunted house becox it's very run down... :P

all touch-ups have to be postponed for our flat right now becox the unit above us is doing the reno & there were ceiling leakages :( Luckily we haven't installed any complicated stuff yet, otherwise, they'll be damaged for sure.

I'll be uploading photos of what we are interested in from his shop when I collect my 2nd piece of OptiLED "ping pong" bulb from him.

I bought all my lights from him. LED downlights is optiled superstar and normal $20 plus downlight using philip bulbs... But don't ask me the details/range/type... I don't remember... Below link is the lights I have previously shortlisted for my hse. I bought 'big bulb' in the end. All except 'Nest' are from citilights. 'Nest' is from lighting.com.sg.
