    So if everything in the house last 5yrs only, then y should we pay more for better quality etc.. Everyone should juz use the normal range n renovate or sell house lor..

    Frankly la.. Spoil I can understand but the water tank burst is unacceptable! Anyway, no need discuss abt water heater-topic closed!

    Relax Sis, using iphone, I'm trying not to type too much or too long story, very stressful for the eyes and fingers. :P

    Paying more for quality is definite worth it. As for your mum's heater, if I'm not wrong, the warranty is only 5yrs. Same for Ariston. So if last over than that, shouldn't it worth the money already( that's y my 1st question is asking u the age of the water heater)? And frankly, the water tank burst like that is consider spoil, maybe due to the pressure relief valve defective(one of the main reasons for defective water heater), it won't be necessary to be only like water not hot, or leakage at the joints,etc... if my LED TV spoil before the warranty period, then I deem it as unacceptable. Same as if u installing the beglas bi-fold door and it last the same as a normal bi-fold door, it unacceptable. :yamseng:

    Poor sis-in-law though... No way of expanding the closet in her room... The irony is that (of all of us), she has the most amount of clothing! :rolleyes:

    If tilting the headboard of the bed to the wall, she can have WIW. that will solve her closet issues. ;)

    I'm not too sure about the recess area under the windows... I know that there seems to be one, according to the floorplan, but I didn't see anything like that when I visited the place. So, I don't know... That's a bit of a mystery!

    Another solution is to hack the other side of the store room wall and make the kid's and Master wardrobe back to back. Then u can have what u planed for. Anyway to do a 'C' shape wardrobe is more expensive and the 'dead' space of the corners.

    Right now the flat is in its "original condition" (as property agents so quaintly like to put it). But, by the time we've gotten our hands on it, we hope to turn it into our dream home...

    After extensive discussion with the hubby, and drawing up a three-page design brief for our future ID (whoever that may be), I've come up with what I think is the most sensible layout to meet all our needs:

    The space planning for the kid's room is not achievable. As the width is 3.6m, wardrobe will take 0.6m, 2 single bed is 0.9m each, space between wardrobe and bed min is ard 0.6m, space between 2 bed is ard 0.6m. So if u want the bed near the windows to have some space, is not that possible. Moreover is I'm not wrong, there should be a recess area under the window of depth ard 400mm. :yamseng:

    Follow your heart....do u like the broken marble flooring or not? If not, will it worth saving the money not to hack but going home everyday seeing the flooring like out of place of the decor and design of the house? :yamseng:

    Yes Bro Jaskel... But we changing switch too and dunno y say that cut here there n mending it won't b nice for false ceiling? I dun even wan to change my downlights de.. Juz hv to add some scv points, LAN points, relocate etc.. Mayb contractor try to smoke me again lor.. Sian.. Yr quote is 13k over my budget la.. I count here n there also cannot... Sad..

    However, I really really appreciate n salute u for all yr assistance!

    I hv existing false ceiling. As I have to add/minus some lighting points n hide aircon trunking, I am advised to redo my false ceiling. Now I worried if I also hv to rewire also?

    So difficult to mend false ceiling or I kena smoke again? I dun mind to redo false ceiling cos I was quote $1.8k but downlights n rewire cost another $5k? How to save???

    Adding of points will do, dont need to rewire the whole house. DB box itself will save u ard $400-$500. As long as u r using the same switches, mending of false ceiling is enough. I did told u the first time when we met. :yamseng:

    sorry ah need ask you abt tempered glass as i understand that there is a logo which shows that it is tempered any mine only shows this..is this a tempered glass logo?

    Thanks. The reno rules only says no awning of any design. Didnt say ground floor or roof terrace. Yesterday, condo MCST manager told me they are preparing a CONDO AUDIT to list out all "illegal" installations.

    I wonder which condo has regulation that allow building polycarbonate < 2m. This is very smart cos <2m from existing wall got no GFA impact. I want to submit a private petition during next AGM in April.

    As I'm known of, actually there quite a no of condos.

    Mine consider a bit high compare to other due to material provided but as for the above, maybe just doing the hacking only, that's why is expensive.

    Lol...can help u coordinate the rest of house owners on how to dismantle carpentry works and hacking. :)

    Juz bring hammer will do...What else? Oh...feel free to draw yr hated person on a piece of paper then stick on my carpentry then Hammer lor...Or juz draw anywhere u like n do anything... Stick pin/needles etc...

    Nw I turned so evil le...

    U need hammering guns and also hdb permit if not neighbours later complaint wait u kanna fine for nothing :P
