we're considering ideal design studio for our reno too....did a search on the hdb website, but couldn't find the coy name under hdb's list of licensed renovation companies... anyone knows if they're registered under another company name or...?

i'm also scouting around for a work desk. u can try looking in vhive, or ikea.....

we recently bot a resale @ bishan too, and it was quite exp (much more than initial budget), and it is in a deplorable state... everything has to be redone. but went ahead cos of the location... cross the fingers and hope it wun depreciate too much, esp with the new DBSS flats pegged @ such a high price, land premiums around the area should be able to maintain.

totally agree with "ikea cutlery cmi" - haven't got my place, but the pantry in my office uses ikea cutlery...i was using the big tablespoon to scoop ice cream one day, lo and behold.....it bent and broke.

It's good to see other people with resale flats in Bishan. We have also just gotten a 5rm resale in Bishan, and are hoping to commence reno works @ the beginning of June - currently scouting for IDs. Where are you guys going to be staying? I heard ***** is rather pricey - my colleague had hers done by them, and she was pretty happy with the results though.

I met up with an ID from Koong Yee over the weekend - we're looking around for quotes and design for our resale flat - the ID was quite up front with us, seems easy to work with. Crossing fingers and waiting for the quotation and design proposal now. Does anyone have had their flat done up by them? Comments on their workmanship? Thanks!

Hello, we have also just bot a 5-rm resale in Bishan! 1st appt will be a month later, and we'll prob start reno after 1st appt, as owners have already moved out. Am now scouting for IDs/contractors. Hello, I'm new here been reading the reno t-blogs with lots of interest cos we just signed the OTP for a 5-rm resale in Bishan too. Impressed by the house decor! So am full of excitement on reno and stuff. What was the rough cost of your reno to do the whole house up? I have this grand dream to do a total revamp too!
