  1. Thanks for the help! I've bought something from Le Tresor Cache. They really have such wonderful items!
  2. Anybody knows where to get shabby chic, french-inspired home accessories? I only know about this blogshop, www.letresorcache.blogspot.com where they really do have nice items. Just wondering if there are others around. Not looking for those sweetie-pie korean/princessy kind of home decor though...

  4. can either get ur ID/contractor to fabricate a platform or buy a divan for your mattress. The divan height can be customised, if i'm not wrong. There's 5", 8", etc. I just got my mattress & divan (w/o headboard) from Morris Lifestyle yesterday. Also saw some low platform beds wrapped in fabric (with headboard) from Furniture Club. Looks great.
  5. Thanks for your advice. For the initial screeding, is there specific grade or type of cement to use?
  6. Hi, does that mean that if i want cement screed on my kitchen walls, i shd be asking the contractor to apply sealant too? Is there any colourless, clear sealant coz i want to retain the raw cement look.
  7. thanks for the advice. is it prone to scratches or dents if say, your pot handle knocks against the backing?
  8. Hi, anybody has done stainless steel backsplash for kitchen? any cons of doing it? Thanks.
  9. Hi sakae sushi, thanks for your reply. my kitchen is likely to be dry coz there won't be too much cooking. do you know if there's any solutions to prevent chipping? Is there any sealant or epoxy that can be applied to protect? I was concerned abt the crack lines, etc, thus just limit to cement on walls instead of floor.
  10. Need some advice here. I'm thinking of having a raw/industrial look for my kitchen with cement wall, instead of tiles. I've seen some home decor magazines featuring homes with such industrial looking finishes but I'm not sure abt future maintenance. Any possibility of the cement having crack lines easily or chipping off?
