  14. ty summerflowers, yes, the wall light, we do find it quite bright and i think it's my camera settings that made it look dim in the pic (same case as my chandelier pic). yes, it's a huge fridge, but my wifey has her definition of what is a big "big" fridge leh. she wants a 6-door fridge; more doors to play with.. ty skyblue, it was a looooong journey leh, so it had better b gd, otherwise i oso dun wanna show u all the pics here! aiyo, i did try to search for that thread, but somehow my pc couldnt cough that out for me.. i decided to delete my posts at a spur of the moment due to some unhappiness and issues over some of our reno works' standards. but oh well, after a very very long 6 months we saw the efforts made for us and the result was something like 90% of what we had expected. so wifey n i r happy to just put up our pics , minus all that rubble in-between lor. to the mods: if possible, r u guys able to merge my 2 reno t-blog threads pls?

  21. just saw a Casa Culture ad in the newspapers today (Saturday, 6 FEB 2010, mentioned "Closing Down Sale". for those who have purchases that r pending delivery (with anything to do with Casa Culture / this "18 Genting Road" address), suggest you double-check with them what do they mean by "closing down sale". i.e. what if they close down the company while your delivery is still pending, etc.
  22. keywords to AVOID at all costs, or purchase at your own risk: CASA CULTURE FASHION HOME INNOVATION FURNITURE LIFE STORY LIVING STORY 18 Genting Lane/Road "the Blue Building" there is another thread for this already: Casa Culture / Fashion Home / Innovation Furniture / Life Story / Living Story
  23. an update for my stuff: i started out by putting a deposit for the following from Fashion Home (a.k.a. Casa Culture / Innovation Furniture): 1pc x L-shape sofa 1pc x dining table 2pcs x dining chairs when the glass top (for the dining table) + 2pcs x dining chairs arrived (after i rejected them 1x) - their condition was worse than the first time. the glass top had many many more white streaks across the surface, when viewed from the top - probably the spray painting job wasn't done well at all. and the dining chairs were definitely the same 2pcs - with lousy touch-up jobs and finishing. why? cos' i recognised the same lousy paint marks - i.e. if someone spray-paints a piece of wood unevenly and leaves it to dry, u will get solidified "drops" of paint "running down". all this, after my numerous reminders to the the mr. "Ken" to ensure that the stuff MUST be in proper and acceptable condition! so much for "checking". and that bloody idiot had the cheek to keep asking me to "trust" him one more time and let them rectify the faults and make another delivery. i rejected that offer. after a series of ding-dong and unpleasant teleconversations with "Ken" and "Philip", we reached an agreement for me to pay them the value of that sofa less $50 for my trouble and cancel the rest of the items. (i.e. i kept the sofa - couldn't find any external faults with it). at least this **** saga is over for us.
