  1. Erm, yep. What I mean is that there are possibilities of "I WANT". In your "I NEED", it is valid. Thus, if there is a need to buy a house, get somewhere cheaper and within one's capabilities. Ok. This statement is not directed towards you, bro. Just making a general statement. What I mean is, if one needs a house urgently, and based on financial review, you can only afford 300k, and maybe you "WANT" to have a big house, get somewhere in Jurong West? or Woodlands? Thus there is a choice. Just like buying a car. I can only afford a Cherry QQ, I don't go look for a BMW. That is what I mean. So, this thing about rising price of flats and unable to afford is not really valid. There are so many options out there, just whether it is within one's ability. Why get a DBSS? No one forces you to get one. It is a matter of choice.
  2. Bought mine at Astoria. Check my t-blog for photo. It costs $347.00
  3. After reading through these, I think it comes from one thing - I WANT. I think in the market, there are so many types of flats. If one can't afford in TOY or AMK, why not think of Jurong West? The EA there is around 300k? I bought Yew Tee, because it is cheap. I WANTa big house, and I cannot afford a landed, and no, I can't afford AMK houses or Telok Blangah. There is MRT at Yew Tee, thus, it is fine. Come to think of it, why not plan and just buy a new house at SK or Punggol? Plan a few years ahead. Yes, I WANT to get a house fast and I cannot get a number for Half-yearly sale, thus I went for the Resale market. Thus it boils down to the 'I WANT' mentality. I believe that there are many choices out there. A 4 room flat in Bishan is as ex as an EM in Pasir Ris. A 4 rm flat in Telok blangah is as ex as my EM. so...what do you want? Or are you really asking, what do you need?
  4. Wah congrats. lol. Ya the road is busy during peak hours. As long as you guys like it! hahaha. Then owe me one kopi ah. I also got my EM from propertyguru. Have been searching for 4 months for a house. And for my new hse, we took 2 days to decide and one week to lock it in.
  5. Let us know how your viewing went! I guess it is all personal preference. My Criteria: 1. High Floor 2. Lift Landing 3. Near MRT 4. Quiet 5. Not much reno needed 6. Clean and windy My house has it all. Except that the price is a bit steep. But we are happy paying. And the best is....it is a corner unit and people will not be peeping into my hse.
  6. Just some thoughts. Think 2 years of these is very nice. and there should be a limit to it. Think, being nice is mutual and not one-sided. Coz we are human beings. Though how difficult it is to sound out, think this 'nice' things should stop. May be a bit awkward, but it is for the benefit for the future. Ask yourself, how long can you tolerate? Just some pointers: 1. No providing of food and drinks anymore. 2. No usage of refrigerator. Ask him to buy is own. 3. No usage of bathroom. 4. No usage of maid.
  7. actually if u wanna get HDB loan and dun get wipe out also can. You just put some amount into investement. Let HDB wipe out the rest and then when time is right, put the investment back to the CPF.
  8. Be patient. What is a few months of viewing and waiting comparing with years of regret? Look out for the house which u think is the best and u are the most comfy with. And, yeah, dun think there is a problem viewing during 7th month. you can check out some webbies like propertyguru.
  9. Hi Bloom, I have offered no advices and this is just a reference for the forum users here. So far, I have no major problems with the sending of items to my hse or any major hiccups with my reno. My wife and I were lucky that things do come before the deadline, rather than being late. All deliveries were very on time. Instead of me waiting for the deliverymen, they have to wait for me. I hope that you have a great experience renovating your house, too. There are some other companies which may be even better. Do take a look around the forum! So far, the greatest experience are Spazio and lightings.com.sg. Their after-service is wonderful.
  10. Thanks for the compliments. I am sure ur hse is beautiful too. I did minor reno only and yes, lightings.com.sg is the cheapest. I think their after service is very good too. Even though they sell cheaply, their after-service is definitely priceless.
  11. Oh my....that looks like a GREAT difference. My colleague also had a very bad experience with Red Apple. And it was a dining set also. It happened 3 years ago. Up till now, they never learned their lesson.
