  3. Carpentry work in progress

I told Vincent that the kitchen cabinet drawers is not how I wanted it. His immediate reply, "I bring back and change". That's what i like to hear from my reno contractor, not some "It's like that one" excuse. Thumbs up for Vincent.

    <img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b81/nick/Renovation/cp1.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Wardrobe in progress pic (few weeks ago)

Wardrobes are completed now, Vincent now modifying the doors because after it's up, we find the design is not what we like. Two thumbs up to Vincent. Do and redo until you satisfied.

  5. Renovation is almost done, almost move in condition, just few finishing touches

Pics coming soon, watch for it

Over all, everything is well done, and manage to keep the cost to low 40K, so I will say my reno is well worth it and highly recommend my contractor for the value and good work. And their attitude has been top notch throughout the entire period, when i make request for changes etc, sometimes even after the thing is already up, no unhappiness, no blackface, etc, gave me everything i asked for the way i wanted with a very humble attitude. Thumbs Up. :good:

  6. was at balestier last night. Saw crestar fans at chan huat (or something along that line). But sorry dunno model bc the salespeople seem busy with the new stocks check and we were not really ready to buy.

sgnick, you may want to check out that shop?

Thanks froggy, I go chan huat take a look.

  7. Bought 2 Crestar fans (different model) @ Balastier Road. Paid another $80 each for remote control. Price is reasonable and the installation fee per fan is $30.

The contractor also help me install 4 kdk baby fan (@$30 each) I bought from another shop as the shop in Balastier do not sell KDK.

I think the installation is reasonable as the shop where I buy the kdk fan wanted to charge me $55 for per fan installation.

    Hi,

thanks. do you know the name of the shop?

  8. I'll just say a few more words and this will be my last post for this matter:

    1. I standby what I say about my orignal intentions. If it has hurt your sensitive ego, I will go as far as saying that's just too bad, but I am not going to apologise for your lack of forum eqituette.

    2. Your analogy of being a public nuisance is an interesting one. Because at this point it would appear that you are shouting back:

"How dare you shout at me that my fly is open, because now I'm so pissed off that I'll just stand here & pee in front of everybody!!"

    3. I have CRESTAR fan prices if you are interested. You can go to their main office @ 164 Kallang Way, #06-29, tel: 6814-1284. I myself am interested in the AirPlus series. They are between $224 - 240, based on blade size.

PS: You have a good day.

Thank you for the info on Crestar.

I never expected any apology from you, don't worry. U gave an interesting analogy too. So from our analogies it's a case of You Shout, I Shout? If so then I apologize for my shouting back. No apologies needed from u of cos since u maintained that u shouted with good intentions, but a little more subtleness would have been very much appreciated.

  9. I hope you are not new to forums.... when ppl sound you out.... don't lah kiasu/kiasi/kiasai... like in this case, just delete one of your post... close - period! Moderators don't bite unnecessarily

Re the CS3... the only gripe I have is that their silver colour is not silver but... bronzie... crap! and the remote is not IR... cannot program into my Harmony One :(

    I appreciate your frank opinion.

If u see someone's pants unzip in public, and with good intentions to help him, do you (1) quietly sound him out in private (2) shout out in public "Dude, your fly is open!!!"

If u still cannot comprehend my meaning with the very simple example above, then we shall leave this conversation as it is. No point talking about it as titanax himself also seem to have no more interest in this. U also don't see him deleting his good intention post rite?

Thanks for your review on the CS3. I will take note of the colour.

  10. that was not the intention, but you're welcome

*grinning at your reply* titanax, if your intention is really good, u could have pmed me about the double threads right? oh well, only u yourself will know your own intention lah, i wouldn't know, i can only guess. your true intentions on that post is open to interpretation.

Anyway, i didnt realize i got 2 threads till u mention. If u can, help me locate my any other spamming double threads too? Please?

  11. What a sensitive moron... ppl trying to help and what does titanax get... a sarcastic reply.

Some ppl don't know stupid or what.... but I guess like most, never read the R&Rs... how typical

Just nick picking..... from the thread title....Crestar Fans - where to buy? My first reaction "&^#&$*&i#$ - stupid or what... MOST shops carry the brand - some don't

Then when read the thread... oh.... cheapest is it? ......

Like some title threads.... "I need help..." that's it! I never bother with these threads

@sgnick - by the way, any Crestar model that you are looking for? as $ differential between diff models can vary quite a lot. Like @frezhman noted... his 'cheapest' below $200 might not be the kiasu high tech crestar model you are eyeing. My Crestar CS3 (Silver - 5 bladed) w remote cost me $300 (frankly, don't know if it's cheap or expensive - didn't bother to check or compare)

titanax's post wasnt helping leh, y would u interpret it as he's trying to help? The other post about Lightings.com, that was a genuine help post.

Anyway crestar brand is not as commonly sold as fanco and elmark, as i have asked a few shops and they dun carry.

Went to Crestar website, no CS3. I looking at Airvac 54 or Airwaves 56

  12. Haha.... I HATE it when I come across statements like... 'where to get cheap and good xxx'.... cheap and good do not belong in the same sentence - but I suppose this is what a Singaporean make!!

Cheap where got good... good where got cheap (direct chinese translation [singlish]) CHEAPSKATE got lah

Crestar not cheap, and fewer shops sell, and prices varies.

Oh well, too many OT boh liao post already in a simple enquiry thread like this. What spamming lah, moron lah, cheapskate lah, .... this post is about crestar, CRESTAR, arghhhh!!!! Cannot even ask questions in RT in peace.

  13. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=31497

you created 2 threads for the same question..be careful you don't get banned for spamming

Thank you for posting here big big for the moderators to see so that i be banned. wow, u even provided the link to show them. thanks alot for your good intentions hor.

  14. My common toilet floor has a kerb. Tiler did something unexpected from the way he tiles the edges.

THis way of tiling I wont see the edges or the insides of the tiles, but the cons is I get a very sharp 90 edges.
