    thanks mickey, its hard to monitor, i can only visit my house during evening after my work to check for the progress.

    charemme, WC and basin, provided by my maincon, actualy i should have gotten my own also, anyway, the one provided by my contractor seems ok...

    this reno is really on a tight budge, hehe.

    i will also be doing some DIY stuffs, maybe i can share here. plan to work on weekends...

    Hi,

    Today starts my renovation works by my contractor, as they are doing my house, im thinking of doing some DIY stuffs such as shoe cabinets and some small tables.

    Do you guys know any timber stores where i can buy plyboards or plywoods around east side?

    Also, if you have any rough idea how much per 4'x8' size?

    In terms of delivery, do they provide also?

    Thanks Sherwin. I'm sure you will do a great job for your house too, especially your mbr :) nice to wake up and see your pretty bedroom, a good start for the day. lol

    Are you doing a major reno or just decorating (like mine)? You will have a new house in time for christmas! :)

    Hi,

    Sorry, dont know if this is where I should ask this.

    I just want to know how contractors measure the cabinets in terms of length. Because my contractor quoted me 20ft kitchen top and bottom. And I wanted to create an L shaped bottom. How do they measure the L shaped? from the outer, middle or innermost length?

    Also, my contractor quoted me a price per additional feet of cabinet, if I wanted to do a vertical cabinet/how do they measure it also.

    There is only 2 acrylic distributors/importer in sg, dama and hipoint who caters to contractors.

    dama is a lot cheaper and "friendlier".

    both can do all kinds of stuff for you - fish tank, covers, lamp shade..bla bla bla.

    but the labour charges is rather costly.

    if you ONLY want acrylics cut in pieces and does not require any polishing or pasting/joining - it's DIRT CHEAP cos they are the supplier.

    i wanted to laminate my new veneer doors to a more *****, however carpenter advise me that relaminating the doors will be pretty costly. cos the pieces of laminate comes in standard sizes so 1 door may need to pieces of 2 full size laminates. just buying the laminate alone for per door will be around 100-200 depending on the design u choose and that is exclusive of the workmanship cost.

    the above was what i was told lah

    how much is a new door anyway?

    Actually wanted to ask you too. No leh should not have any problems with the contractor's name. Why don't you PM me and let me try to put it in ?

    actually PM's also dont work. someone asked me my contractors name through PM. and he received it as "-" also.
