Yes, you are right that bamboo are abundance in China and the price there is very affordable compare to imported laminated flooring. I have gone ahead with bamboo flooring but it is for my apartment in China. I cost me only S$3k plus to lay for 100m2...and it is above average grade bamboo flooring. It is so common in China and it will take a while before it is competitive against those laminated flooring here in SG.

Yes, it is much exp here...I guess is the limited number of "brands" here where the demand&supply rule applies.

Hi, I recently opt for bamboo flooring for my china's apartment. Completion around mid-Dec. Yes, other than the benefits you have mentioned, it is cheaper than those common laminated flooring. Most brands available here are from China factories. It cost around S$30-40 per m/sq for medium grade quality. eg. 100 m/sq floor area cost only 3-4k.
